Description

The DDMA said in its amended rules on January 11, 2022 that all private offices in Delhi will be shuttered, with the exception of those that are exempted. Work from Home policies will be enforced at these offices. All pubs and restaurants in Delhi will be shuttered, and only takeout will be permitted, according to the COVID restrictions. 'Special Yoga/Pranayam sessions would be introduced by the Delhi government for COVID-19 patients in home isolation,' said Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on January 11, 2022. While announcing the announcement, the Chief Minister stated that yoga improves immunity. He also stated that the link to the lessons would be provided to positive COVID patients today, and that sessions will begin in separate groups on January 12. The new recommendations come on top of the 'Yellow Alert' or 'Level 1' guidelines released by the Kejriwal administration. According to the Delhi government's new COVID-19 directives, cinemas and gyms have been shuttered with immediate effect, and the night curfew in Delhi has been maintained to reduce crowding and traffic on the roads.

The Delhi government took the initiative to issue the revised COVID-19 rules in the wake of an increase in Omicron variant cases in the National Capital.

Delhi is under lockdown-like restrictions as a result of the escalating number of Omicron cases

After a review meeting on the COVID-19 situation in New Delhi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal stated that the number of COVID-19 cases in the state has been growing, but that the symptoms in the patients are minor.

While announcing the COVID-19 instructions in Delhi, he also stated that there is no need to be alarmed, and that a full directive on the limits in place in the National Capital will be issued soon. If the infection rate exceeds 0.5 percent, a Yellow Alert was to be issued in Delhi.

The Kejriwal government issued four notifications in response to the likelihood of a third COVID epidemic in Delhi: Yellow Alert, Amber Alert, Orange Alert, and Red Alert. The Delhi Government and the DDMA have issued a 'Yellow Alert' due to an increase in Omicron cases in the National Capital, with an infection rate of more than 0.5 percent.
