The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has extended the deadline for applying to the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) for Class 6 admission until December 15. Students can apply for the NVS Class 6 exam at the official website while on April 30, 2022, at 11:30 a.m., NVS will hold a JNV selection test for admission to Class 6 and ll JNVs will have their exams in a single shift.

A statement on the official website states, "It is to bring to the notice of all concerned that last date of submission of online application for admission to class VI through Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas for the session 2022-23 is extended up to 15th December 2021 due to administrative reasons. Candidates may apply free of cost by visiting the website."

Eligibility Criteria for JNV Class 6 Selection Test

1. Only students from the districts where JNVs are being established are eligible to apply.

2. Candidates for admission must have been born between May 1, 2009 and April 30, 2013. (including both dates).

3. Applicant must be a Class 5 student in the academic year 2021-22 in government or government aided or other recognised schools, or a 'B' certificate competency course of National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) in the same district where admission is sought.

4. Candidates who have not been admitted to Class 5 prior to September 15, 2021, are ineligible to apply.

5. Candidates are only permitted to take the selection test once.
