On April 23, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE 2022) will be held. The WBJEE online application process will begin on December 21, and candidates can apply online at the official website until January 7. The exam will be given in two shifts, one online and one offline as the morning shift for Paper 1 (Mathematics) will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., while the afternoon shift for Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry) will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The WBJEE 2022 admit card will be available on April 15. From January 8 to 10, candidates can make changes to their applications. Candidates must update their name, father's name, mother's name, gender, and date of birth at the time of registration. All future communications will be sent to the registered mobile number and email ID, so it is critical to have a mobile number and a unique email ID.
How to apply?
Once the registration details, such as name, father's name, mother's name, gender, domicile, and date of birth, have been entered and submitted, they cannot be changed/modified/edited. Also, the information must exactly match the school/college admit cards, mark sheets, certificates, photo identity cards, caste/category/income/Ews certificates, and so on that a candidate must produce when entering the examination hall, during counselling/admission, and when registering with the university.
Fee for Application:
The WBJEE 2021 application fee is Rs 500 for general candidates and Rs 400 for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates. The examination fees can only be paid via net banking, debit card, or credit card. Candidates who are SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B will be required to upload their respective certificates in the formats specified at the time of counselling, or their candidature will be cancelled. Once paid, the fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Eligibility:
1. The minimum age to sit for WBJEE 2021 is 17 years. Except for Marine Engineering, which has a 25-year age limit, there is no upper age limit for B Tech courses (as of December 31, 2021).
2. Candidates must have passed or be taking the Class 12 exam (or equivalent) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, as well as one of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science, or Computer Application.
3. Candidates from the general category should have obtained a combined score of 45 percent, while candidates from the reserved category should have obtained a combined score of 40 percent in the three subjects listed above.
4. To be eligible for WBJEE 2021, candidates must have passed the English paper with at least 30% marks.
Paper Design:
WBJEE 2021 will include multiple-choice questions (MCQ) with four options for each question. In each subject, there will be three types of questions.

WBJEE 2022 results are expected to be released by the end of May. The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) will administer the entrance examination for undergraduate courses in Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy, and Architecture at the state's universities, government colleges, and self-financed institutes.
