The newly built East Campus of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) here will be operational beginning with the current academic session. According to a statement, the university has established two flagship schools on this campus: the University School of Automation & Robotics (USAR) and the University School of Design & Innovation (USDI).
These schools will offer five new bachelor degree programmes at their Surajmal Vihar campus in east Delhi. These include USAR programmes such as B.Tech. in Automation and Robotics (120 Seats), B.Tech. in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (120 Seats), B.Tech. in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (120 Seats), B.Tech. in Industrial Internet of Things (120 Seats), and one B.Des. (120 Seats) at USDI.
According to the statement, the campus has a net zero energy design, multiple academic blocks, a central library and computer centre, lecture theatres, an administrative block, hostels for boys, girls, and teachers, faculty residences, multilevel parking, and a large block for sports and cultural activities.
