Description

Medical applicants across the country had to face affordable medical course options other than MBBS after passing the National Entrance Eligibility Test (NEET-UG). Even those preparing for entrance medical exams should know other medical courses besides MBBS. About 15 million students take the medical exam every year, and many of them enroll in these courses. It is not easy to enroll in NEET and take the test. It takes years of preparation and hard work to pass this exam.

However, the NEET qualification gives the candidate the opportunity to choose from a variety of courses such as MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH. Starting this year, NEET points will also be used for admissions to the Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Life Sciences degrees. Here is a list of some of the courses that use NEET points to enroll in medical programs. By looking at medical courses other than MBBS, candidates will learn that there are endless career opportunities in the medical field.

List of Non-MBBS Courses Requiring NEET Scores

1. Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Life Sciences: According to a recent notice, admissions for Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Life Science degrees will be based on NEET scores as of this year. The NTA has posted a notice on the selection criteria for these courses. Banaras Hindu University, JIPMER and several other institutes have also issued a notice that there will be no separate entrance exam for the Bachelor of Nursing Degree admission this year. Admission will be based on NEET 2021 results.

2. For admission to AYUSH: The AYUSH Ministry's Central Advisory Committee (AACCC) advises for BAMS, BSMS, BUMS and BHMS locations within the AIQ. In the past year, this has included seats in government, government-funded, recognized universities, central universities, national institutions and the internal offices of Delhi University. The states held their consultations for 85% of the locations. In addition, the advisory bodies of the respective state, the Utah State Government, were advised on all quotas for private institutions in India, with the exception of prospective universities.

3. For admission to BDS: upon enrollment in this course, states conduct their own consultations for 85% of locations based on eligibility and booking requirements. The Medical Advisory Committee (MCC) is responsible for advising institutions funded from the center and for granting places in government facilities in accordance with a 15% quota for all of India. Medical places in India are divided into AIQ and government quotas in a ratio of 15:85.

3. Admission to BVSc, AH: For admission to these courses, the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) advises on admission to BVSc and AH courses with 15% of places in AIQ. Admission will be based on NEET UG scores. Last year, seats were allocated to candidates according to their NEET ranking, selection, availability, booking policy and other criteria.
