The Odisha government will begin the admissions for plus 2 school admissions will start the schools of higher secondary schools. The department of School and Mass Education decides to extend seats in various courses like 38,000 for Arts, 13,000 seats for Science, and 3,900 seats for Commerce.
The state government has declared that the fees for colleges and tuition fees will not be increased due to ongoing covid crises.
The admission process will be conducted on the portal of SAMS (Student Academic Management System), an online based admission portal for all functions related to the admissions. A detailed schedule will be out soon.
Samir Ranjan Dash who is the minister for School and Mass Education told that with coming demands for 69,000 seats, they agreed for 54,900 seats as the applications for the exam was evaluated. After the results for class 10 examination released, more than 6.7 Lakh students passed the exams and seat hiked upto 6.03 lakh in it is, schools, government diploma institutes. The number of seats in higher secondary schools will be 6.58 lakh.
