Description

Schools in Himachal Pradesh will be closed until August 22, 2021. However, boarding schools will operate as usual. The State Department of Education will develop SOPs for schools to avoid COVID-19. The official statement on schools in Himachal Pradesh states: “All schools will be closed except for boarding schools from 11 to 22 August. However, teaching and non-teaching staff must attend school. The Department of Education should develop an SOP for boarding schools containing COVID19. ”

According to a recent decision by the state government, teachers and non-teachers will be able to attend schools. Earlier, the government of Himachal Pradesh reopened schools for grades 10 and 12 on August 2, 2021. In addition, pupils in Class V & VIII were allowed to attend schools to clear up doubts.

Meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the State of Himachal Pradesh

The meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the state of Himachal Pradesh was held yesterday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Jaya Ram Thakur. At the meeting, many important decisions were made to prevent COVID-19. The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to close schools for students from August 11 to 22 in the state. Although teachers must attend school regularly.

At the same time, in connection with the increased frequency of cases of COVID, the severity has been increased even more. According to the information received, the RTPCR is now mandatory for every person arriving from outside Himachal State. In the meantime, if no one has a report, people who have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine will be allowed to participate.

COVID-19 Cases in Himachal

In the last 24 hours, Himachal Pradesh has recorded 419 new cases of COVID and 1 death. The state government is doing its best to vaccinate as many teachers as possible before reopening schools and educational institutions. He also undertook a two-day trip to educate teachers and non-teaching staff, including those taking lunch at noon, about COVID-19-compliant behavior. The Department of Education is on the verge of drafting stringent COVID protocols to be followed in schools across the state. The decision to reopen the schools will be made in due course.
