Description

The dates of the Class XI or FYJC entrance test will only be announced after the SSC exam results. The Maharashtra government has reported this to the Bombay High Court. The announcement was made when the government was responding to Bombay High Court on a petition by a class X student from the Indian Council of Secondary Education (ICSE).

The petition reportedly aims to cancel the May 28 notice announcing that "admission to Standard XI / Junior College in Maharashtra will be on a CET basis, which will be based on the SSC Council program." According to the update, the Maharashtra State Board for Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) will release the results for Class X / SSC by July 15, 2021.

According to earlier updates, the state accepted the call as the Class X Board exams were canceled and an alternative way of admission to the FYJC had to be explored. This exam will be administered to students of all councils (state boards, CBSE, CISCE, all international boards, etc.). According to the legal notice, students who appear on CET will have priority at all junior colleges.

Priority admission to FYJC Maharashtra in 2021

However, CET is only an additional exam for admission to FYJC. Students wishing to participate will be admitted to the FYJC based on their CET performance score. And those who choose not to show up will be admitted based on the grades obtained from the class X exam. The Maharashtra government has previously announced the evaluation criteria for the preparation of the SSC results.

According to media reports, the questions asked on the General Admissions Test will be based on the Class X curriculum. The exam will have multiple-choice questions. The Maharashtra CET will be held for a 100 point exam and two exams will be taken using the OMR method. However, the exam will be optional.
