Description
Union Education Minister Ramesh Pohriyal "Nishank" resigned from his post. The development of events takes place a few hours before the reshuffle in the cabinet of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the schedule of which will be announced today at 18:00. Mr. Pohriyal took over the portfolio of Minister of Education from his predecessor Mr. Prakash Javadekar in 2019 after he was elected MP for Haridwar. According to initial reports from various news outlets, Mr. Pohriyal named health problems as the main concern for which he decided to step down as Minister of Education.
Pohriyal's sudden resignation came as quite a surprise to the students who heard him make an important announcement about the JEE 2021 core exam dates for the upcoming Phase 3 and 4 Engineering Entrance Exams. In fact, students expected Mr. Pohriyal to announce the NEET UG 2021 exam in the near future. But before that, he applied for resignation from the post of Minister of Education.
