Description
The number of cities to pass the main JEE exam has been increased from 232 to 334 for the third and fourth sessions of the exam. Along with this, the number of JEE Main 2021 exam centers per shift will be increased from 660 to 828. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will also allow students to change their previously selected JEE Main exam centers during the correction period. Applicants can make changes to the application form for the 3rd session exam from 6 to 8 July, and the application form for the 4th session will be available from 9 to 12 July 2021.
JEE exam dates in 2021
On July 6, the National Testing Agency announced the dates for the third and fourth sessions of the JEE 2021 main exam. The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for the April and May sessions will be held from July 20 to 25 and from July 27 to August 2, 2021, respectively. Legal notice can be checked on the official NTA website at nta.ac.in. The authorities also reopened the JEE Main registration and patch for the 3rd session. Candidates have the option to apply for one or more sessions together and pay the examination fee accordingly.
According to the notification, a total of 6.80 million Candidates registered for the April (3rd) session and 6.09 million for the May (4th) session. Candidates have now been given the option to register or opt out of the upcoming JEE Main 2021 sessions again.
Important guidelines for JEE Mains 2021 from NTA
• Applicants will be provided with time slots for reports at the examination center. The number of time slots will be increased to ensure that candidates are evenly distributed among the rooms upon admission to the examination center.
• Applicants will be required to comply with all COVID-19 protocols during the exam.
• Face masks will be provided to candidates at the main JEE 2021 centers.
• Applicants will be allowed to change their choice of downtown.
• Examination rooms hosting the 3rd and 4th JEE Main sessions will have open windows and fans for proper air circulation.
• Along with common areas, all computers and seats will be disinfected. The computer kit used on the first shift will not be used on the next shift.
• All candidates attending the exam will be required to comply with social distancing guidelines.
