Reliance Industry Limited has announced the launch of a new clean energy plant for the production of solar photovoltaic cells over the next three years. Mukesh Ambani will launch an investment project worth Rs 75,000.
It will be launched to create four Giga factories for solar photovoltaic cells, green hydrogen, batteries and fuel cells over the next three years. 100 GW of solar power plants will be created. These capacities will be created through rooftop installations and decentralized operations in villages.
Reliance will set up solar cell divisions, an energy storage battery plant, a fuel cell plant and an electrolyzer that will produce green hydrogen through this business. This new business will be created with the aim of bridging the green energy gap in both India and the world.
Assignment of four Giga factories
Reliance will set up four Giga factories within the Dhirubhai Ambani Gigan Green Energy Complex to manufacture and integrate all critical components of a new energy ecosystem, a battery plant, a solar PV module plant, an electrolytic cell plant, and fuel plant elements. These four factories will be invested in Rs 60,000 crores. Reliance will also build 100 GW of solar power by 2030.
