The meeting of the G20 Labor and Employment Ministers was organized in a mixed mode in Italy. During the virtual meeting, the G-20 ministers exchanged views on the transition from school to work. The Ministry of Labor and Employment of India was represented by MoS (I / C) Sri Santosh Gangwar along with the Minister of State for Education Sanjay Dhotre.
Ministers reiterated the need to prepare young people well for a smooth transition to the workplace after completing training. This step is especially important for students from socially and economically disadvantaged groups who are more at risk of being left behind.
The Indian minister is committed to helping his youth develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes that are essential for the global workspace of the 21st century. India's approach is to integrate vocational education with general academic education. It also focuses on demand-driven, competency-based and modular professional courses.
