The Asian College of Journalism (ACJ) provided logistical support for Indian market research. The study focused on news credibility and included India in its flagship report for the first time this year. According to the report, 73 percent of respondents in India use smartphones to access news, and 82 percent receive news online through social media.
Who were the respondents?
ACJ and RISJ only interviewed online news users and English-speaking wealthy, young, educated and urban populations. They constitute a small fraction of the Indians and cannot be considered as representing India.
