West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that the government would declare the results for the Class X and XII state board exams in July. The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) and West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and are scheduled to announce the pattern for the evaluation for the two board exams.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also said, “The evaluation pattern would be announced on Friday. Results would be declared in July.”
The West Bengal government had, already on June 7, 2021, canceled both the exams this year, the reason being the prevailing Covid-19 situation. All the educational institutions are still closed in the state.
Around 1.2 million students were scheduled to sit for the madhyamik (Class X board exams) and around 1 million students were scheduled to take the higher secondary (Class XII board exams) this year.
Both the Council For The Indian School Certificate Examinations and the Central Board of Secondary Education had got the approval for their assessment plan from Supreme Court for Class XII students and said that results will be declared by July 31, 2021.
