Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven became the country's first prime minister to lose the vote of no confidence. The loss of the vote of no confidence means that he can now either resign or initiate early elections.
The motion for a vote of no confidence was passed by a majority of 181 deputies in the 349-seat parliament. Lofven became the first head of government to lose the vote of no confidence, which means the collapse of the government of the coalition minority Social Democrats and the Green Party.
