Union for Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Taavarchand Gehlot on June 20, 2021 announced the establishment of 5 Divyangta Khel Kendras in various parts of the country. The Minister approached Samajik Adhikarita Shivir regarding the distribution of assistive devices and assistive devices for Divyanjan under the ADIP (Assistance to Disabled Persons in Purchasing / Installing Aids and Aids) program in Gujarat.
In making the announcement, the Union Minister said that given the interest in sports among the Divyangthans of the country and their brilliant performances at the Paralympic Games, the ministry has come to a decision to establish five Divyangta Khel Kendra in different parts of the country. India, from which Ahemdabad will be one such city to open such a facility.
Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, speaking on this occasion, stated that a society that does not care about Divyangjan is itself a society of disabled people.
State aid to Divyanjan
On this occasion, the Minister of the Union announced that the central government had released the rupees. Rs 8.06 crore to Gujarat under a fellowship program benefiting 2,808 beneficiaries. Sugamiya Bharat Abhiyan covered 10,175 bus depots, 709 train stations and 683 websites.
The minister also mentioned that work on the National Mental Health Rehabilitation Center in Sehora, MP, has also been started by the CPWD.
The Minister of Gujarat, speaking on this issue, said that the Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities was passed in 2016. He not only provided greater security, but also ensured and protected the basic rights of people with disabilities throughout the country.

The Chief Minister also stressed the need to empower Divyanjan and integrate them into the mainstream of society to promote the overall development of the country.
Distribution of assistive products and assistive devices to Divyanjan in Gujarat
A total of 6,225 assistive products and assistive devices worth Rs. 3.57 will be distributed free of charge to 3,805 Divyanjan at the block or panchayat level. On June 20, 2021, in connection with COVID-19, out of a total of 3,805 previously identified recipients of Divyang assistance, assistive devices and assistive devices were transferred approximately. 50 people from Jamnagar, Gujarat, in the first distribution camp.
