The Central Board of secondary education (CBSE) on June 18, 2021 said it is developing a system to help schools in preparation of Class XII results and asked schools to stay students’ records ready. The board on June 17, 2021 announced the evaluation policy for Class XII and said results are going to be declared by July 31, 2021 for Class X students, results are expected by July 20, 2021.
During a statement, The Board said-
“This system will ease down the calculation work, reduce time taken then many other hassles,”
“Frequently asked questions and examples of calculations will also be provided to schools to understand the evaluation policy it will conduct a webinar shortly.”
The CBSE assured it'll continuously communicate with schools during the result preparation process, and establish a helpdesk to help schools in preparation of both Class X and Class XII results for updating Class X data, will be available on June 21, 2021 and after that other modalities of the software will be provided to schools.
As per the CBSE Class XII result scheme, 40 percent weightage are going to be given to mid-term, unit test or pre-board of Class XII, 30 percent to Class XI final exams and therefore the remaining 30 percent will come from average theory marks of three best-performing papers in class 10 final exams.
Some students have complained that the board shouldn't use Class X, Class XI marks for result calculation, but the board said only Class XII exams can not be considered for the ultimate result, as most of these weren't held in the conventional method because of Covid-19, and do not meet the goal of “standardised assessment”.
