Students and academicians have largely expressed satisfaction over the evaluation criteria for awarding grades or marks for class 12 examinations submitted before the Supreme Court by the Central Board of secondary education (CBSE) and therefore the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) on Thursday.
The board, consistent with reports, told the apex court that results of class 12 are going to be selected the idea of performance in school 10, Class 11 also as Class 12. While 30 percent of weightage are going to be given to students' performance in school 10 and 11, their class 12 performances will carry a weightage of 40 percent. for class 12, marks obtained in unit, term, and practical examinations are going to be taken under consideration.
" A special bench of Justices A M Khanwilkar and Dinesh Maheshwari said that it'll hear the response of counsels for CBSE and ICSE on Tuesday on the concerns raised by interveners. Academicians like Urvashi Sahni, founding president and CEO, Study Hall Educational Foundation said, "Our teachers and principal are proud of this marking scheme. The way they need decided to think about better of 3 in school 10 and 11 is good for the students. the various weightage given for class 12 is also appreciated."
To the proposal that every school has got to form a result committee to think about the marks of students obtained within the three examinations which might be vetted by the moderation committee of the CBSE, Sahni hoped that the vetting process by the CBSE doesn't become cumbersome.
