The Ministry of Tourism aims to overcome the seasonality aspect of tourism and promote India as a destination for 365 days a year. The main goal is to identify, diversify, develop and promote niche tourism in India.
The main purpose of the Ministry of Tourism is to promote and facilitate tourism, both inbound and domestic, in India. Consequently, he focused on expanding tourism infrastructure and providing travel convenience, as well as promoting tourism products and destinations.
The ministry seeks to develop a strategy to attract tourists with special interests as well as ensure repeat visits for unique products, and the ministry believes India has an edge in this aspect. The ministry has also developed a National Strategy and Roadmap for Medical and Health Tourism.
