On World Day Against Child Labor
This is a holiday approved by the International Labour Organization (ILO). The Day was first established in 2002 with the aim of raising awareness and activism to prevent child labor. It was based on the ratification of ILO Convention No. 138 on the Minimum Age for Admission to Employment and ILO Convention No. 182 on the Worst Forms of Child Labor. This day is held every year to promote the movement against child Labour around the world. It brings together governments, local authorities; civil society, workers 'and employers' organizations to tackle the problem of child Labour and define guidelines for helping working children.
