Prime Minister Narendra Modi in UK-led G7 Virtual Summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the information sessions of the UK-led G7 Virtual Summit in Cornwall in June 2021. Prime Minister Modi is expected to join the G7 summit on June 12 and 13, 2021. The Prime Minister of India will attend the G7 meeting for the second time. The G7 includes Canada, France, Italy, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States.
India was invited by the French G7 presidency in 2019 to the Biarritz summit as a “goodwill partner”. In 2019, Prime Minister Modi took part in the Climate, Biodiversity and Oceans and Digital Transformation sessions.
India, Australia and South Korea are also special invitees to the 2021 G7 Summit. The invited leaders will also be invited to attend selected sessions of the G7 meeting to be chaired by the UK. The session will be attended by Canada, Italy, USA, France, Germany, Japan and the European Union (EU).
G7 Summit 2021
This will be the 47th G7 Summit. It is scheduled for June 11-13, 2021 in the UK, which is also chairing the G7 this year. The summit will be attended by the leaders of seven G7 member states and representatives of the European Union. The President of the European Commission has been a regular participant in all G7 meetings and decision-making since 1981. The 47th G7 Summit will be the first summit for Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi and US President Joe Biden.
