Suggestive Projects for Class – X (Social Science)
1. Eminent women freedom fighters from different parts of India and present information through photographs, illustrations, writings, speeches, etc.
2. Collect information on the conditions of the peasantry, city dwellers, kings, and nobility before the revolution and the kinds of inhuman practices that were followed in France/German
3. Prepare the following documents to organize a session of Parliament for Parliamentary democracy.
a. Officials required – Composition of the House.
b. Seating plan diagram
c. A Bill on any current economic or social value, for example, child labor laws, women’s reservation, free medical care bill.
d. Documents on procedures
e. A debate/speech on any issue either from the government or the opposition side.
4. Write a report on how man’s interaction with nature has resulted in different hazardous situations such as a. Deforestation and soil erosion causing floods and droughts.
b. Faulty constructional practices leading to a disastrous impact on life and property during cyclones and earthquakes.
c. Water scarcity in rural and urban areas.
d. Uncontrolled growth of settlements on hazardous hill slopes causing landslides.
5. Design posters/slogans/skits/songs for generating awareness about Road Safety among other school children.
6. Interview any of the Govt./Non-Government functionaries in your locality on their role in Disaster Management:

Conditions of eligibility for admission to class X.
1. Candidates who have been studying in a School recognised by or affiliated to this Board or any other recognised Board of Secondary Education in India.
2. Candidates can not take admission directly in class X.
3. Candidates had completed a regular course of study for class IX and passed class IX examination from a school affilicated to this Board.
4. The candidates percentage for attendance should be 75% so that the Board to make him/her eligible for the Examinations.
5. Candidate can be admitted to a school only on the transfer of the parents(s) or shifting of their families from one place to another, after procuring from the student the marksheet and the Transfer Certificate duly countersigned by the Educational Authorities of the Board concerned.
6. There is no age limit for candidates taking the Examination
7. Candidate should have doucments in support of his having passed the qualifying or equivalent qualifying examination.

1. There are total 17 questions in this part.
2. This question paper is divided into four sections: Section A, Section B, Section C and Section D.
3. All sections are compulsory. Solve all the parts of a question together.
4. Section A is based on Multiple Choice Questions. Only one question is in this section. this question is devided into 20 sub questions. All sub parts carry 1 marks each.
5. Section B is based on Short Answer Type Questions. Total 10 questions is in this section. All question carries 3 marks each.
6. Section C is based on Long Answer Type Questions. Total 5 questions is in this section. All question carries 5 marks each.
7. Section D is based on Map Skill. Only one question is in this section. this question carry 5 marks.

There is no overall choice, However, internal choices have been provided in question number 2 & 4 of section B.

1. The difficulty level of the Social Science paper : Easy to Moderate.
2. All the questions in the paper were asked from the latest syllabus and based on NCERT textbooks.
3. The average range of expected marks was 70(out of 80).
