PROJECT WORK
1. Every student has to compulsorily undertake one project on Disaster Management.
2. Objectives: The main objectives of giving project work on Disaster Management to the students are to:
1. create awareness in them about different disasters, their consequences and management
2. prepare them in advance to face such situations
3. ensure their participation in disaster mitigation plans
4. enable them to create awareness and preparedness among the community.
3. The project work should also help in enhancing the Life Skills of the students.
4. If possible, different forms of art may be integrated in the project work.
5. In order to realize the expected objectives completely, it would be required of the Principals/teachers to muster support from various local authorities and organizations like the Disaster Management Authorities, Relief, Rehabilitation and the Disaster Management Departments of the States, Office of the District Magistrate/Deputy Commissioners, Fire Service, Police, Civil Defense etc. in the area where the schools are located.
6. The distribution of marks over different aspects relating to Project Work is as follows:

2. calendar of activities;
3. innovative ideas generated in the process ;
4. list of questions asked in viva voce.
10. It is to be noted here by all the teachers and students that the projects and models prepared should be made from eco-friendly products without incurring too much expenditure.
11. The Project Report should be handwritten by the students themselves.
12. The record of the project work (internal assessment) should be kept for a period of three months for verification, if any.

Conditions of eligibility for admission to class IX.
1. Candidates who have been studying in a School recognized by or affiliated to this Board or any other recognized Board of Secondary Education in India.
2. Candidates can not take admission directly in class IX.
3. Candidates had completed a regular course of study for class VIII and passed the class VIII examination from a school affiliated to this Board.
4. The candidate's percentage for attendance should be 75% so that the Board to make him/her eligible for the Examinations.
5. Candidate can be admitted to a school only on the transfer of the parents(s) or shifting of their families from one place to another, after procuring from the student the mark sheet and the Transfer Certificate duly countersigned by the Educational Authorities of the Board concerned.
6. There is no age limit for candidates taking the Examination.
7. Candidate should have documents in support of his having passed the qualifying or equivalent qualifying examination.

1. This question paper has two sections, Section-A and Section-B.
2. In section -A there are 48 objective type questions, out of which 40 questions are to be answered. Each question carries 1 mark.
3. In section-B, there are short answer type questions of 5 subjects of social science. Each carries 2 marks.
4. History has 5 short answer type questions (Q No. 1 to Q No. - 5) out of which any 3 questions are to be answered.
5. Political Science has 6 short answer type questions (Q. No. 8 to Q. No. - 13), out of which any 2 questions are to be answered.
6. Economics has 3 short answer type questions (Q. No. 16 to Q. No. - 18), out of which any 2 questions are to be answered.
7. Geography has 5 short answer type questions (Q. No. 21 to Q. No. - 25), out of which any 3 questions are to be answered.
8. Disaster Management has 4 short answer type questions (Q. No. 28 to Q. No.- 31), out of which any 2 questions are to be answered.
9. Apart from these, there are 8 long answer type questions (Q. 6, 7, 14, 15, 19, 20, 26, 27). Each carries 4 marks. One long answer type question each from History, Political Science, Economics and Geography is to be answered.

This year class 10th board exam will be started from 17 February 2025 and will last upto 25 February 2025, it will take around 9 days to complete the class 10th board exam. The board will conduct the class 10 exam in two shifts. The first-shift exams are conducted from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm while the second shift exam will be from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. Bihar Board Class 10th Practical Exams will be conducted from 21st January 2025 to 23rd January 2025. It is mandatory for all students to appear in each practical exam. Practical exams are conducted for 30/20 marks. Students will be given marks on the basis of project as well as oral exam which will be conducted by external examiners.
