plant and animal breeding for quality improvement and manpagment ;use of fertilizers ,measure ,protection frim pets and diseases;organic farming

Unit 2 : Matter - Nature and behavior
Nature of matter: Elements, compounds, and mixtures. Heterogenous and homogenous mixtures, colloids, and suspensions.
Particle nature, basic units: atoms and molecules. Law of constant proportions. Atomic and molecular masses.
Mole Concept: Relationship of mole to mass of the particles and numbers. Valency. The chemical formula of common compounds.
Structure of atom: Electrons, protons, and neutrons; Isotopes and isobars.
Theme: The World of the living
Unit 3: Organization in the living world
Cell - Basic Unit of life: Cell as a basic unit of life; prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, multicellular organisms; cell membrane and cell wall, cell organelles; chloroplast, mitochondria, vacuoles, ER, Golgi apparatus; nucleus, chromosomes - basic structure, number.
Tissues, organs, organ systems, organisms.
Structure and functions of animal and plant tissues (four types in animals; merismatic and permanent tissues in plants).
Health and diseases: Health and its failure. Infectious and Non-infectious diseases, their causes and manifestation.
Diseases caused by microbes (Virus, Bacteria, and Protozoans) and their prevention, Principles of treatment and prevention. Pulse polio programmes.
Theme: Moving things, people and ideas
Unit 4: Motion, Force, and Work
Motion: Distance and displacement, velocity; uniform and non-uniform motion along a straight line; acceleration, distance-time and velocity-time graphs for uniform and uniformly accelerated motion, equations of motion by graphical method; elementary idea of uniform circular motion.
Force and Newton's laws: Force and motion, Newton's laws of motion, the inertia of a body, inertia, mass, momentum, force, and acceleration. Elementary idea of conservation of momentum, action, and reaction forces.
Gravitation: Gravitation; universal law of gravitation, the force of gravitation of the earth (gravity), acceleration due to gravity; mass and weight; free fall.
Work, Energy, and Power: Work done by a force, energy, power; kinetic and potential energy; law of conservation of energy.
Sound : Nature of soundand its propagation in various media ,speed of sound ,range of hearing in human ;ultrasound.

Unit 5: Our Enviroment

bio- geochemical cycle in nature: water, oxygen, carbon, nitrogen

Conditions of eligibility for admission to class IX.
1. Candidates who have been studying in a School recognised by or affiliated to this Board or any other recognised Board of Secondary Education in India.
2. Candidates can not take admission directly in class IX.
3. Candidates had completed a regular course of study for class VIII and passed class VIII examination from a school affilicated to this Board.
4. The candidates percentage for attendance should be 75% so that the Board to make him/her eligible for the Examinations.
5. Candidate can be admitted to a school only on the transfer of the parents(s) or shifting of their families from one place to another, after procuring from the student the marksheet and the Transfer Certificate duly countersigned by the Educational Authorities of the Board concerned.
6. There is no age limit for candidates taking the Examination.
7. Candidate should have doucments in support of his having passed the qualifying or equivalent qualifying examination.

Paper Analysis 2020
1. The total no. of questions will be 30.
2. Question no.1 is Multiple Choice Type Question.
3. Question no. 2 to 6 are of 1 marks each.
4. Internal options are given in question no. 16, 20, 23, 26, 28 & 30.
5. Questions no. 7 to 15 carry 2 marks each.(word limit 30 words)
6. Questions no. 16 to 24 carry 3 marks each.(word limit 30 to 75 words)
7. Questions no. 25 to 30 carry 4 marks each.(word limit 75 to 120 words)
8. Draw neat and well labelled diagram wherever required.
And
There is no overall choice, However, internal choices have been provided in two questions of one mark each, two questions of two marks, one question of three marks and three questions of five marks weightage. You have to attempt only one of the choices in such questions.
Comment
1. The difficulty level of the Science paper 2020: Moderate to difficult.
2. The pattern of the Science paper was similar to the latest Science Sample Paper 2020.
3. All the questions in the paper were asked from the latest syllabus and based on NCERT textbooks.
4. The average range of expected marks was 60 to 70+ (out of 80).
