Scholarship General Information
Applications for the CPH Fellowships are invited through a separate competition, which is open only to clinicians and public health researchers.The India Alliance invites applications for three Fellowship schemes: Early Career Fellowships, Intermediate Fellowships, and Senior Fellowships.
1. Early Career Fellowship: For applicants who are starting their independent research career but require a Fellowship supervisor to acquire skills, training and resources to complete their project.
2. Intermediate Fellowship: For those applicants who are newly established or in the process of establishing themselves as independent investigators.
3. Senior Fellowship: For those applicants who have established themselves as independent investigators and would now like to lead a larger programme of research.
4. Research Training Fellowship (RTF) for clinicians: The India Alliance is no longer accepting applications to this scheme. This scheme was meant for those clinicians who wished to gain substantial training in research for developing their research interests through a comprehensive training programme.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility limit covers the entire range of Clinical and Public Health Research Fellowship schemes.
1. No age or nationality restrictions.
2. The candidates need not be residents of India while applying but should be willing to establish an independent research career in India.
3. Clinicians and Public health researchers do not require a Ph.D. to apply.
4. This competition is open for clinicians and public health researchers with up to 15 years of post-MD/MS/MPH/PhD or equivalent clinical/public health research experience.
Applicants are advised to choose the most appropriate scheme suitable for them based on their qualifications, research experience, career trajectory, and track record. Please refer to the guidance notes, provisions, and mandate of the scheme for assessing your eligibility on the website. The office reserves the right to advise on the suitability of the scheme accordingly.
The following parameters are typically used to guide the Office:
1. The level of qualification (MBBS/MS, MD, MPH or an equivalent degree).
2. Previous research experiences.
3. Applicant's acquaintance with the proposed research question and if a suitable environment is being proposed for this work.

Application Procedure

4. Your preliminary application is assessed and If successful, you will be invited to submit a full application.
5. Your full application will be peer reviewed and considered by the appropriate Selection Committee and, if successful, you will be shortlisted for interview.

Selection Process
1. Shortlisted candidates will be notified two weeks before the interview date.
2. Applicants are not permitted to apply to multiple Fellowship schemes within the India Alliance in parallel. Only one application to one scheme will be entertained, at a time.
3. The Fellowship must be started within one year from the point at which the decision has been communicated, typically a week after the interview.
