Scholarship General Information
The School of Science, Engineering and Information Technology, Federation University, Australia invites applications for Henry Sutton PhD Scholarship for International postgraduate Students. The selected scholars will receive a full-tuition scholarship and a stipend scholarship.
Federation University Australia (FedUni) carries out world-class research, as evidenced by the most recent Excellence in Research Australia (ERA) ranking with five-star ratings (well above world standard) in seven research areas.
The School of Science, Engineering and Information Technology produces leading research in these discipline areas including Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Geo-science and Information Technology. The School is keen to attract excellent postgraduate students to join our research teams through the provision of the Henry Sutton PhD Scholarship Awards.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant must -
1. Be a postgraduate student (Honours 1 or equivalent preferred) willing to pursue a PhD programme at Federation University.
2. Have current IELTS or TOEFL scores.
3. Meet the minimum English language proficiency requirements.
Conditions of Scholarship-
1. These scholarships are for a period of three years.
2. Application is open to new International students only. Standard leave entitlements apply.
3. This position and scholarship are full-time, with no possibility of being undertaken part-time during candidature.
4. Students will be required to commit to a minimum of four days per week on campus and participate in occasional industry placement at key times during the term of their candidature.
Referees-
Please nominate two referees who can comment on your academic/scholarly/research experience and capacity. Referee reports must be returned to the Graduate Research School for your application to be considered. Any application without referee reports will not be forwarded for consideration.
Award Amount
A total of 12 scholars will receive the benefits under this scholarship for a period of three years. It includes -
1. Full tuition scholarship at Federation University.
2. Stipend scholarship comprising a cash stipend of AUD 12, 500 (INR 6, 99, 314) per annum (paid fortnightly) and accommodation scholarship of AUD 12, 500 (INR 6, 99, 314) per annum.
3. Project support of AUD 2, 000 (INR 1, 11, 890) per annum (approved research expenses only).
4. Teaching opportunities within the School (optional).

2. All prospective candidates are required to provide a 500 word statement covering the following areas:
a. Discuss your motivations for applying for this PhD scholarship, and your intended outcomes (both for yourself (personally and professionally).
b. Explain why you are interested in the project you selected.
3. Academic transcripts with Testamurs.
4. English test results (IELTS/TOEFL).
5. Resume/CV.
6. Passport.
7. Statement of study purpose.
8. List of published works including URL links.
Selection Process
1. First All the application form will be evaluated.
2. After evaluation, eligible candidates will be shortlisted for the scholarship.
3. Shortlisting of candidates will be done by authorities.

Other Conditions
1. The scholarship does not cover the Overseas Student Health Cover.
2. The scholarship and position is available for full-time online. There is no possibility for students to pursue part-time studies.
3. The students are required to commit a minimum of 4 days per week on campus and participate in occasional industry placement during their term.
4. The successful students may elect to be located at either Gippsland campus or Ballarat campus.
