Scholarship General Information 

The Immerse Education Essay Competition provides the opportunity for students aged 13-18 to submit essay responses to a question of their choice relating to a subject of interest. Immerse annually updates its questions to inspire students to delve deeper into their favourite subjects. There are over twenty questions to choose from which can be found in our full Essay Competition Guide. 

Cambridge Immerse is a residential academic programme with a diverse and enriching curriculum. Our 16-18 year-old programmes are designed to provide a taster of what it’s like to study a subject at the university level. Our 13-15 year old programmes are designed to ignite students’ interest and help them better understand what subjects they should be pursuing at a higher level. All academic sessions are carefully designed and taught by expert tutors in an optimal learning environment that stimulates academic enquiry. Our carefully planned schedule ensures that the programme not only meets the academic needs of the participants but also provides a unique experience of the university city through an abundance of extracurricular activities.

Eligibility Criteria 

Scholarship applicants must be:

1. Aged between 13 to 18 at the commencement of the selected program session.

2. Available to attend the academic sessions in Cambridge.

3. Eligible to live and study in the UK for the duration of the program.

4. Attending a non-fee paying school (or attending a fee-paying school whilst receiving a scholarship/grant/bursary/financial assistance).

5. Applications are welcomed from students of all nationalities.

Award Amount  

1. Up to 40 runners-up will be awarded partial scholarships of up to 75% to study their chosen subject with Immerse.

2. 10 winners will receive a 100% scholarship for their exceptional work.

3. The last category of up to 150 entrants receive partial scholarships worth up to 50%.

The last date to apply for this scholarship is January 14, 2026.

Application Fee 

No Separate Application or Fee is Required to get the scholarship, it will be automatically considered, once you enrolled for the program.

Key information to note:

1. It is recommended that you draft your responses, particularly to the essay question, in advance of submitting your form as you will be unable to save your form before submitting.

2. Applicants must submit their essay response, video, and financial verification in one form submission.

3. Successful applicants will be offered a scholarship of up to 100% of the participation fee to attend the summer programs in Cambridge.

4. Financial verification confirms that you attend a non-fee-paying school or that you are in receipt of a bursary, grant, scholarship, or other financial support to attend a fee-paying school.

7. Applicants will be contacted with the outcome of their application.

8. Full and partial scholarships are valid for participation in our summer programs only and cannot be exchanged for a cash equivalent.
