Scholarship General Information
The Government of Odisha in Higher Education Department have been awarding a merit-cum-means based scholarship each year under the scholarship named "e-medhabruti" out of State Budget to provide financial assistance to meritorious students of permanent resident of Odisha studying within the geographical jurisdiction of the state of Odisha and also outside state, whose annual parental income does not exceed 8.00 lakhs.

Eligibility Criteria
For the UG Merit Scholarship
1. have passed Class 12 from Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha or equivalent exam
2. have secured 55% or more marks from an institution recognised by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)/Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE)
3. be pursuing a regular degree course or a three-year degree course in any of the recognised institute/college/university
For the PG Merit Scholarship
1. have passed a three-year degree or equivalent exam
2. have secured 55% or more marks from a recognised institute
3. be pursuing a regular PG degree in Arts/Commerce/Science or any other postgraduate discipline which is non-professional in nature, from any of the recognised college/institute/university
For Technical & Professional Merit Scholarships
1. have passed Class 12 from Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha or equivalent exam from an institution recognised by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)/Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE)
OR
2. have completed a three-year degree or equivalent 3-year course (only for master's course) with 55% or more marks
3. be pursuing regular technical/professional courses in any of the recognised college/institute/university
Note:- Students must apply for the scholarship in the first year of the degree course.

Application Procedure
To apply the scholarship, eligible students need to follow the below given steps:
Step 1: Register at the portal, if you are a new user, Go to the login button.
Step 2: Enter the Aadhaar number and proceed further.
Step 3: Check your registered mobile or email to get the user ID and password.
Step 4: Login at the portal and enter User ID and password to apply the scholarship.
Step 5: Provide all necessary details like student, academic, eligibility and bank information.
Step 6: Click on the “Save as draft” button to draft the information or click on “Next” button to save and proceed the scholarship form.
Step 7: The preview of the completed form will appear on the page. Download the forms and take its print out.
Selection Process
1. First All the application form will be evaluated.
2. After evaluation, eligible candidates will be shortlisted for the scholarship.
3. Shortlisting of candidates will be done by authorities.

Terms and Conditions
1. If an exceptionally meritorious student, who falls within the merit list of their first year of admission, fails to apply for the undergraduate merit scholarship during their first year of admission. They may be entertained in the second year or any subsequent year provided there are available vacancies for the respective academic year (first year's admission).
2. Once awarded, the scholarship will be automatically renewed on an annual basis for the duration of the course facilitated by transferring the scholarship information to the education institution for validation of the student's continued enrolment in subsequent years.
