Scholarship General Information
Mizoram Scholarship is available to students domiciled in Mizoram which is the southernmost landlocked Indian state with a population of 36.49 lakh and a highly literate agrarian economy. The Samaj Kalyan Vibhag or Department of Social Welfare under the Mizoram Government plays a key role in providing Mizoram scholarship to all students who are studying at secondary, higher secondary, or higher level of education. The scholarships are divided into pre-matric, post-matric, and merit cum means.

Eligibility Criteria
1. They should be residents of Mizoram state.
2. The students should belong to ST categories.
3. The minimum marks in the last qualifying exam should not be less than 50%.
4. The annual family income should not exceed ₹2,50,000.
5. 30% of the total scholarship is fixed for girl candidates.
Award Amount
The scholarship will be paid up to ₹7,000 per annum to every eligible SC students.

Application Procedure
Step 1: Visit the NSP's official website.
Step 2: If you haven't registered previously, register yourself on the site.
Step 3: Complete the login form.
Step 4: Select "PRE-MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP FOR SCHEDULED TRIBES STUDENTS" from the menu.
Step 5: The screen will open with the application form.
Step 6: To complete the application, enter the necessary information.
Step 7: Upload the necessary files.
Step 8: Submit your application form.
Selection Process
1. First All the application form will be evaluated.
2. After evaluation, eligible candidates will be shortlisted for the scholarship.
3. Shortlisting of candidates will be done by authorities.

Documents Required
1. Aadhaar Number.
2. A passport size photograph with signature of the student.
3. A certificate (in original) of Scheduled Tribe duly signed by an authorized Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar.
4. An income declaration by the self-employed parents/guardians, stating definite income from all sources by way of an affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper.
5. A receipt in acknowledgement of the scholarship in the previous year on the form attached to the application only duly countersigned by the Head of the Institution/School concerned.
