Scholarship General Information
The Industrial Innovation Awards aim at helping the Indian Industry in assimilating a structured innovation process through Enterprise Innovation Maturity Framework, a model developed by CII. The Awards while recognizing the champions of innovation among Indian industry, also enhance their competitiveness for the domestic as well as global markets
CII Industrial Innovation Awards were instituted in 2014 to identify and celebrate innovative Indian enterprises across industry segments and sectors. The Awards give an opportunity to companies to shine and be known nationally and internationally for their innovative products and services. In the last ten consecutive years, these awards have established themselves as one of the most coveted innovation awards in the country.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Innovation should be commercialized in current year (it does not matter how many years prior to its realization it was in the making.)
2. Companies/firms registered in India in the following categories:
Manufacturing & Services | Investment | Turnover |
Micro Enterprises | Up to 1 cr. | Less than 5 cr. |
Small Enterprises | Up to 10 cr. | Less than 50 cr. |
Medium Enterprises | Up to 20 cr. | Less than 100 cr. |
Large Enterprises | Above 20 cr. | Above 100 cr. |
Note:
1. Enterprises engaged in the manufacture or production, processing or preservation of goods. Investment in plant and machinery is the original cost excluding land and building and the items specified by the Ministry of Small Scale Industries.
2. Enterprises engaged in providing or rendering of services and whose investment in equipment (original cost excluding land and building, and furniture, fittings, and other items not directly related to the service rendered or as may be notified under the MSMED Act, 2006)
3. Proof of the investment figure (a certificate by the auditors) is to be uploaded. In case of a CII Member, the company’s membership certificate would suffice.

Application Fee
An applicant has to pay the fee while submitting the application form.
The fees structure is appended below:

Includes the cost of online facilitation by CII; honorarium of an expert who will visit the company for assessment; delegate fee for two to the Award Ceremony in New Delhi.
Application Procedure
1. Visit CII Innovation Awards website: www.innovationawards.ciiinnovation.in
2. Create a login ID by providing a few basic information and fill up the Application Form, which includes an abstract about the firm’s innovation readiness, and its innovations. Submit the application fee to complete the application process. Kindly note that this fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Selection Process
1. Innovation Culture
Innovation within an organization is a function of how people at all hierarchies collaborate and support the journey. This section captures the flow of innovation in spirit and as a function within the organization.
2. Innovation Management
Innovation is effective management of chaos to achieve tangible results. This section will seek to understand your expertise in navigating through such efforts.
3. Inputs to Innovation
Innovation needs tangible and intangible inputs to grow. This section will capture details of investments of both kinds made by the organization.
4. Results of Innovation
The goal of any effort is a tangible, measurable outcome. This section will assess the results that have accrued to your organization from the effort undertaken.

Terms & conditions
1. An organization that had received the CII Industrial Innovation Award before for a particular innovation is not eligible for the same again for this edition.
2. The CII Industrial Innovation Awards reserve the right to refuse entry to any applicant which does not fulfill the eligibility criteria
3. This decision is at the sole discretion of the CII Industrial Innovation Awards and no correspondence will be entered into in this regard.
4. The participation fees (at both levels) is non-refundable under any circumstances
5. The applicant can withdraw its application at any point during the award process, but the participation fees will not be refunded
6. The presence of the person / s who has / ve filled the application form is essential at the primary location during the assessor visit.
7. The visit cannot stretch beyond four hours per company. Interactions with innovating teams and management teams should be arranged at one physical location or within driving distance in the vicinity.
8. All personal or sensitive information will be treated as confidential.
9. Claims made by the applicant such as "unique", "world first", "one of a kind" or "owned by" must be substantiated. The CII Industrial Innovation Awards reserve the right to request further evidence such as records of all applicable patents, trademarks, design registrations or intellectual property ownership.
10. The title conferred by the CII Industrial Innovation Awards may be withdrawnfrom any company, after being granted, if it is found that the information supplied was incorrect.
11. The decision of the jury will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
12. The submitted inputs in the initial / main application forms must be made available for use by the CII Industrial Innovation Awards for usage in CII Innovation Book.
13. CII may request for photos of your innovation to be used in the Innovation Book and supplied to media for publication to further promote the entry and the CII Industrial Innovation Awards.
14. By submitting an application to the CII Industrial Innovation Awards, the applicant is agreeing to the abovementioned terms and conditions of entry.
