Scholarship General Information
The Azim Premji Scholarship Programme is part of Azim Premji Foundation’s commitment to improving quality and equity of education in India. The programme seeks to support girl students from disadvantaged backgrounds in their pursuit of college education.
The Azim Premji Scholarship Programme is designed to help address the matter of financial constraints restricting the girl students’ access to college education. In this cycle (year 2024-25), we will be supporting girl students who have studied Grade X and XII from a government school and have an admission in a regular degree or diploma programme of a government or bona fide private college/ university (more details below).
Eligibility Criteria
1. Have passed their Grade X from a local government school.
2. Have passed their Grade XII from a government (regular/open) school in the academic year 2023-24 or prior.
3. Have an admission as a regular student in a government or bona fide private college or university in first year for an undergraduate programme or a diploma course at the time of application.
Award Amount
Selected students will be awarded a scholarship of INR 30,000 per year for the entire duration (two, three, four or five years) of the undergraduate course/ programme to cover tuition fees or any other expenses incurred towards completion of their education.

We support 1,150 not-for-profits and and civil society organisations (CSOs) across India with financial grants.
A significant percentage of our grants goes to organisations working on the ground directly with vulnerable groups of people. Examples of such vulnerable groups include persons with disabilities, women facing violence, adolescent girls and children at risk, the homeless and destitute elderly, manual scavengers and waste pickers, migrant and informal sector workers, farmers with marginal landholding, particularly vulnerable Adivasi groups and water-deficient communities.
