Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) is conducted for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes in the VIT group of Institutions. VIT has introduced many innovations in academic processes that add value to every student. EXAM PATTERN
The duration of the examination will be 2 hours and 30 minutes. All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions and one mark for the right answer and zero for the wrong answer. There will be a total of 125 questions divided into the section Maths/Biology (40 questions), Physics (35 questions), Chemistry (35 questions), Aptitude (10 questions), and English (5 questions). The question paper will be in English only.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Candidates willing to apply for VITEEE Examination are required to fulfil certain conditions to be eligible for it. The candidate who does not satisfy the Eligibility criteria like Age, Minimum educational qualification etc., their candidature shall be rejected by the authorities.The criteria for eligibility VITEEE are decided by the conduction body itself.
The candidate’s eligibility for VITEEE Examination is based on the fulfilment of the following conditions :-

Nationality
1. The applicant for VITEEE should be a Resident / Non-Resident Indian National / OCI / PIO Holder.
2. NRI applicants can directly apply under the 'NRI Category' through the NRI application form. (Will be available shortly) (https://vit.ac.in/admissions/international/overview)
3. Foreign applicants who studied/studied abroad can apply directly through the International application form. (Will be available shortly)
Age Limit
1. Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 2003 are eligible to apply for VITEEE-2025. Candidates who fail to produce this certificate in original as proof of their age at the time of counselling shall stand disqualified.
2. The date of birth as recorded in the High School / SSC / X Certificate will be considered authentic.
3. Applicants should produce this certificate in original as proof of their age at the time of counselling/admission, failing which their candidacy for admission will be disqualified.
Education Qualification
Candidates appearing for the VITEEE-2025 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2025, in any one of the following qualifying examinations:
1. The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/ State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations or any other Board accepted by VIT as equivalent to 10+2 examination.
2. Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
3. General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
4. High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva. (Physics & Mathematics - HL, Chemistry - SL).
5. Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with the minimum of 5 subjects as recognized by the central board.
6. Applicants who have completed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination outside India should produce an equivalence certificate to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination with grade/CGPA converted to percentage.
Candidates who have studied in Regular, Full Time and Formal Education are alone eligible to apply. Candidates who have appeared for multiple board examinations in the same academic year are not eligible.
For Indian nationals attending VITEEE 2025 is mandatory to be eligible for B.Tech. admission.
In case VITEEE 2025 gets cancelled due to natural calamities or causes beyond the control of the institute, qualifying criteria may be substituted with higher secondary marks. Applicants shall be informed accordingly.
Qualifying Marks
1. Candidates appearing for the VITEEE should have secured a minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics /Biology in the qualifying examination (Intermediate).
2. The average marks obtained in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (Intermediate) put together should be 50% for the following categories (Candidates belonging to SC/ST Community & Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir / Ladakh and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura).
3. CERTIFICATE TO PROVE COMMUNITY, NATIVITY should be produced at the time of counselling, failing which they will not be considered for admission.

EXAM ANALYSIS 2023
VITEEE 2023 shift 1 exam on Apr 19, 2023, was conducted from 9 AM to 11:30 AM.
1. Physics: The Physics section was moderate with the most number of questions from the Class 12 syllabus.
2. Chemistry: The Chemistry paper for this exam was moderate as well. This section had mostly formula-based questions.
3. Mathematics: The Mathematics paper was easy compared to the other sessions, with direct and formula-based questions.

EXAM ANALYSIS 2023
VITEEE 2023 shift 1 exam on Apr 19, 2023, was conducted from 9 AM to 11:30 AM.
1. Physics: The Physics section was moderate with the most number of questions from the Class 12 syllabus.
2. Chemistry: The Chemistry paper for this exam was moderate as well. This section had mostly formula-based questions.
3. Mathematics: The Mathematics paper was easy compared to the other sessions, with direct and formula-based questions.

1. Understand Exam : First and very important thing for preparing for VITEEE is to understand the exam pattern and the type of questions asked. This will help you to understand which questions you need to focus on and what type of questions you can skip.
2. Prepare Notes : Remember to prepare notes for the subjects you study. If you can get notes from any credible source, it will help you better. Also, keep making cheat sheets for the formulas and quick notes to help you in revising important points.

Age Limit

Education Qualification

Candidates who have studied in Regular, Full Time and Formal Education are alone eligible to apply. Candidates who have appeared for multiple board examinations in the same academic year are not eligible.
For Indian nationals attending VITEEE 2025 is mandatory to be eligible for B.Tech. admission.
In case VITEEE 2025 gets cancelled due to natural calamities or causes beyond the control of the institute, qualifying criteria may be substituted with higher secondary marks. Applicants shall be informed accordingly.
Qualifying Marks
1. Candidates appearing for the VITEEE should have secured a minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics /Biology in the qualifying examination (Intermediate).
2. The average marks obtained in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (Intermediate) put together should be 50% for the following categories (Candidates belonging to SC/ST Community & Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir / Ladakh and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura).
EXAM PATTERN
The duration of the examination will be 2 hours and 30 minutes. All questions will be Multiple-Choice Questions, with one mark for the right answer and zero for the wrong answer. There will be 125 questions total, divided into the sections Maths/Biology (40 questions), Physics (35 questions), Chemistry (35 questions), Aptitude (10 questions), and English (5 questions). The question paper will be in English only.

COUNSELLING PROCESS
VIT University will commence the VITEEE counselling process. Qualified candidates will have to register and participate in the VITEEE counselling for admission into the participating institutes. VITEEE counselling will be held online and the process will consist of registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and confirmation of admission. VIT seat allotment will be done based on ranks, preference, and seat availability. If the candidates are not able to confirm their admission before the final date, then their candidature will be cancelled.

Candidates have to enter the required details such as name, date of birth, gender, mobile number, email id, and nationality. The authority will send the login id and password to the registered email id of the candidates.
Step 2: Photograph and Signature Uploading - Candidates have to upload their photograph and signature.
Step 3: VITEEE Application Fee Payment - Candidates have to pay the application fee through net banking/Credit Card/Debit Card.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Nationality
1. The applicant for VITEEE should be a Resident / Non-Resident Indian National / OCI / PIO Holder.
2. NRI applicants can directly apply under the 'NRI Category' through the NRI application form. (Will be available shortly) (https://vit.ac.in/admissions/international/overview)
3. Foreign applicants who studied/studied abroad can apply directly through the International application form. (Will be available shortly)
Age Limit
1. Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 2003 are eligible to apply for VITEEE-2025. Candidates who fail to produce this certificate in original as proof of their age at the time of counselling shall stand disqualified.
2. The date of birth as recorded in the High School / SSC / X Certificate will be considered authentic.
3. Applicants should produce this certificate in original as proof of their age at the time of counselling/admission, failing which their candidacy for admission will be disqualified.
Education Qualification
Candidates appearing for the VITEEE-2025 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2025, in any one of the following qualifying examinations:
1. The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/ State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations or any other Board accepted by VIT as equivalent to 10+2 examination.
2. Intermediate or two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
3. General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
4. High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva. (Physics & Mathematics - HL, Chemistry - SL).
5. Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with the minimum of 5 subjects as recognized by the central board.
6. Applicants who have completed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination outside India should produce an equivalence certificate to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination with grade/CGPA converted to percentage.
Candidates who have studied in Regular, Full Time and Formal Education are alone eligible to apply. Candidates who have appeared for multiple board examinations in the same academic year are not eligible.
For Indian nationals attending VITEEE 2025 is mandatory to be eligible for B.Tech. admission.
In case VITEEE 2025 gets cancelled due to natural calamities or causes beyond the control of the institute, qualifying criteria may be substituted with higher secondary marks. Applicants shall be informed accordingly.
Qualifying Marks
1. Candidates appearing for the VITEEE should have secured a minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics /Biology in the qualifying examination (Intermediate).
2. The average marks obtained in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (Intermediate) put together should be 50% for the following categories (Candidates belonging to SC/ST Community & Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir / Ladakh and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura).
EXAM PATTERN
The duration of the examination will be 2 hours and 30 minutes. All questions will be Multiple-Choice Questions, with one mark for the right answer and zero for the wrong answer. There will be 125 questions total, divided into the sections Maths/Biology (40 questions), Physics (35 questions), Chemistry (35 questions), Aptitude (10 questions), and English (5 questions). The question paper will be in English only.

ADMISSION TO THE EXAM CENTERS
1. Candidates will have to report to the exam centre at least an hour before the start of the exam.
2. VITEEE admit card and identity proof have to be produced at the exam centres. Without the admit card, the candidates will not be allowed to attempt the examination.
3. No electronic devices will be allowed inside the examination hall.
4. Masks have to be worn at all times inside the exam centre.
5. Candidates will have to sanitize their surroundings and keep them hygienic.
6. Once the candidates enter the exam centre, they will not be allowed to leave until the examination concludes.

COUNSELLING PROCESS
VIT University will commence the VITEEE counselling process. Qualified candidates will have to register and participate in the VITEEE counselling for admission into the participating institutes. VITEEE counselling will be held online and the process will consist of registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and confirmation of admission. VIT seat allotment will be done based on ranks, preference, and seat availability. If the candidates are not able to confirm their admission before the final date, then their candidature will be cancelled.
