SALARY STRUCTURE
Pay Scale – Pay Band 9300-34800 and Grade Pay - 4200.
The Uttar Pradesh Police Sub-Inspector post offers a salary under the 7th Pay Commission with a pay band of Rs. 9,300–34,800 and a grade pay of Rs. 4,200, falling in Level 6 of the pay matrix. The starting basic pay is Rs. 35,400 per month, which increases with allowances like DA, HRA, and TA, making the gross salary range between Rs. 43,000–47,000 per month. After deductions, the in-hand salary comes to around Rs. 35,000–40,000, along with additional benefits and career growth opportunities through departmental promotions.
EXAM PATTERN
As per the Uttar Pradesh Sub-Inspector and Inspector (Civil Police) Service Rules, candidates whose applications are found valid will be required to appear in a written examination of 400 marks. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Nationality - For the UP Police SI recruitment, candidates must be Indian citizens. In addition, eligibility is also open to Tibetan refugees who came to India before 1st January 1962, and to persons of Indian origin who have permanently settled in India after migrating from countries like Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
Educational Qualification - For the UP Police SI 2025 recruitment, applicants must have a graduation degree from a university recognized by law in India or an equivalent qualification approved by the Government. They are also required to demonstrate typing skills with a minimum speed of 25 words per minute in Hindi (Unicode on Inscript keyboard) and 30 words per minute in English. In addition, candidates should be able to take Hindi shorthand dictation at 80 words per minute, which will be evaluated for accuracy by UPPRPB. Passing the “O” Level Computer Examination from NIELIT or holding an equivalent government-recognized computer qualification is also mandatory.

SELECTION PROCESS

EXAM CENTERS
