2. To be eligible for being short listed for interview, the candidates have to score equal to or above the cut off marks as decided by the bank for the professional knowledge (PK) paper, besides scoring minimum qualifying marks in other papers.
3. Final Merit list would be prepared based on normalization of marks scored in online written test and interview with 70:30 weightage respectively.
Merit List:
The final merit list will be arrived at after aggregating the marks of Professional Knowledge test (out of 150 marks) and interview (out of 25 marks). Weightage of score will be as under:

Note-
The selection will be made from the Top merit ranked candidates in each category. In case more than one candidate score the cut - off marks (common marks at cut - off point), such candidate will be ranked according to their age in descending order in the merit list.
Mode Of Examination:
The Examination for SBI SO will be held as an Online Written Test. The questions will be Objective Type and Multiple Choice in nature.
Medium Of Examination:
1. The questions will be available bilingually in Hindi & English Languages.
2. The candidates will have option to answer the questions in Hindi or English (except for test of English Language)
Marking Scheme:
1. There shall be Negative marking of one - fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to any given question.
2. Test of Reasoning Section will be of 50 marks and will be Qualifying in nature.
3. Quantitative Aptitude Section will be of 35 marks and will be Qualifying in nature
4. English Language Section will be of 35 marks and will be Qualifying in nature.
5. General IT Knowledge Section will be of 50 marks and will be considered for Merit Calculation.
6. Role based Knowledge Section will be of 100 marks and will be considered for Merit Calculation.
Interview:
1. An adequate number of candidates as decided by the Bank will be called for Interview based on performance in online written test.
2. Interview will carry 25 marks. The qualifying marks in Interview will be as decided by the Bank.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Candidates willing to apply for SBI SO Examination are required to fulfil certain conditions to be eligible for it. The candidate who does not satisfy the Eligibility criteria like Age, Minimum educational qualification etc., their candidature shall be rejected by the authorities. The criteria for eligibility SBI SO are decided by the conduction body itself. The candidate’s eligibility for SBI SO Examination is based on the fulfilment of the following conditions:

Nationality:
A Citizen of India, or
A subject of Nepal, or
A subject of Bhutan, or
A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Candidates willing to apply for SBI SO Examination are required to fulfil certain conditions to be eligible for it. The candidate who does not satisfy the Eligibility criteria like Age, Minimum educational qualification etc., their candidature shall be rejected by the authorities. Note:
Qualifying in nature and marks thereon will not be reckoned for arriving at the Merit:
1. Except Professional Knowledge paper, other papers will be of qualifying in nature. Candidates have to score minimum qualifying marks in these papers. The minimum qualifying marks will be decided by the Bank or may be waived at the discretion of the Bank.
2. To be eligible for being short listed for interview, the candidates have to score equal to or above the cut off marks as decided by the bank for the professional knowledge paper, besides scoring minimum qualifying marks in other papers.
3. Final Merit list would be prepared based on normalization of marks scored in online written test and interview with 70:30 weightage respectively.
Merit List:
The final merit list will be arrived at after aggregating the marks of Professional Knowledge test (out of 150 marks) and interview (out of 25 marks). Weightage of score will be as under:

Note-
The selection will be made from the Top merit ranked candidates in each category. In case more than one candidate score the cut - off marks (common marks at cut - off point), such candidate will be ranked according to their age in descending order in the merit list.
Mode Of Examination:
The Examination for SBI SO will be held as an Online Written Test. The questions will be Objective Type and Multiple Choice in nature.
Medium Of Examination:
1. The questions will be available bilingually in Hindi & English Languages.
2. The candidates will have option to answer the questions in Hindi or English (except for test of English Language).
Marking Scheme:
1. There shall be Negative marking of one - fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to any given question.
2. Test of Reasoning Section will be of 50 marks and will be Qualifying in nature.
3. Quantitative Aptitude Section will be of 35 marks and will be Qualifying in nature
4. English Language Section will be of 35 marks and will be Qualifying in nature.
5. General IT Knowledge Section will be of 50 marks and will be considered for Merit Calculation.
6. Role based Knowledge Section will be of 100 marks and will be considered for Merit Calculation.
Interview:
1. An adequate number of candidates as decided by the Bank will be called for Interview based on performance in online written test.
2. Interview will carry 25 marks. The qualifying marks in Interview will be as decided by the Bank.

Candidates need to register themselves for the recruitment first. The registration can be done through the official website of SBI. A registration link is available on the career section of the official website. SBI SO has different categories, candidates need to find the exact category they want to apply for. Click on ‘Apply Online’ to apply. After successful registration, each candidate will receive a unique registration number and password. Candidates must not lose them.
