EXAM PATTERN

The Rajasthan Police Constable Exam 2025 will consist of a Written Test and subsequent physical and proficiency tests. Below is a detailed breakdown of the exam pattern for the Rajasthan Police Constable recruitment:

Written Examination: The written exam for Rajasthan Police Constable recruitment is objective-type with multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The details of the written exam are as follows:

Total Number of Questions: 150 Questions in total.

1. Reasoning: 80 Questions

2. General Knowledge & Current Affairs: 25 Questions 

3. Rajasthan General Knowledge: 45 Questions

Total Marks: 150 Marks (1 mark for each correct answer).

Duration: 2 Hours (120 minutes).

Negative Marking

There will be a negative marking for incorrect answers.

0.25 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Final Merit List

The final selection of candidates will be based on:

Performance in the Written Exam.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST).

Proficiency Test (if applicable).

A final merit list will be prepared based on the overall performance. 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The eligibility criteria for Rajasthan Police Constable Recruitment 2025 are designed to ensure that candidates meet the required standards in terms of education, age, physical fitness, and other factors. Below are the detailed eligibility requirements:

Nationality

The candidate must be an Indian Citizen.

Candidates from Rajasthan are given preference, but candidates from other states can also apply if they meet the eligibility criteria.

Age Limit

Minimum Age: 18 years

Maximum Age: 23 years

As per Rule 11 of the Rajasthan Police Subordinate Services Rules, 1989, a relaxation of 1 year has been provided in the upper age limit for all applicants, and the age will be calculated with January 1, 2026 as the reference date. 

Age Relaxation

SC/ST/OBC/BC (Male & Female): 5 years

Women (General Category): 5 years

Ex-servicemen: As per Rajasthan Government norms

Physically Disabled Candidates: 10 years

Note: The age will be calculated as of January 1, 2025.

Physical Standards

Candidates must meet the physical standards as set by the Rajasthan Police Department. The physical tests include the Physical Standard Test (PST) and the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

Physical Standard Test (PST)

For Male Candidates

Height: Minimum 168 cm.

Chest: Minimum 81 cm (with a 5 cm expansion).

For Female Candidates:

Height: Minimum 157 cm.

Weight: Proportionate to height as per the medical standard.

For Transgender Candidates:

Height: Minimum 160 cm.

Chest: Minimum 76 cm (with a 5 cm expansion).

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

For Male Candidates

Race: 5 km in 25 minutes.

Long Jump: Minimum 12 feet.

High Jump: Minimum 3.9 feet.

For Female Candidates:

Race: 5 km in 35 minutes.

Long Jump: Minimum 9 feet.

High Jump: Minimum 3 feet.

For Transgender Candidates

Same as for Female candidates.

Driving License (For Driver Posts)

Candidates applying for Police Telecom Driver posts must have a valid light motor vehicle (LMV) or heavy motor vehicle (HMV) driving license issued by a recognized authority.

A knowledge of traffic rules and regulations is also required.

Medical Standards

Candidates must be medically fit as per the standards specified by the Rajasthan Police Department.

A thorough medical examination will be conducted to ensure that candidates are free from any physical or mental disabilities that may affect their performance in the job.

Relaxation in Physical Standards

Relaxation in physical standards is provided for SC, ST, OBC, and other reserved category candidates as per the Rajasthan Government rules.

Disqualifications

Candidates may be disqualified under the following conditions:

The Rajasthan Police Constable 2026 notification has not been released yet, so the 2026 important dates are not available officially. For reference, the latest confirmed schedule is from the 2025 recruitment:

EXAM ANALYSIS

The last Rajasthan Police Constable written examination was conducted on September 13 and 14, 2025 for the recruitment of 10,000 Constable posts. The examination was conducted in offline OMR mode, with 150 objective-type questions for 150 marks and a duration of 2 hours. Based on candidate feedback and post-exam reviews, the overall difficulty level was reported as moderate, although the difficulty varied across sections and shifts.

Time Shift and Dates

The latest Rajasthan Police Constable exam was conducted in September 2025.

The exam was held on 13 September and 14 September 2025.

On 13 September, the exam took place in the afternoon shift from 3 PM to 5 PM.

On 14 September, there were two shifts. The morning shift was from 10 AM to 12 PM and the afternoon shift was from 3 PM to 5 PM.

The exam was conducted in offline mode using OMR sheets.

Exam Pattern

The paper included 150 questions for 150 marks.

The total time given was 2 hours.

There was negative marking of one fourth mark for each wrong answer.

The questions were asked from reasoning, computer knowledge, general knowledge, current affairs, Rajasthan general knowledge, and basic law related to women and child crime.

Difficulty Level

The overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate.

Reasoning and computer section was easy to moderate.

Rajasthan GK was mostly easy to moderate.

General knowledge and current affairs were moderate to slightly difficult.

The law section was moderate and required conceptual understanding.

Overall, the paper was balanced but slightly focused on GK.

Good Attempts

Candidates who attempted around 110 to 130 questions with good accuracy were in a safe position.

Accuracy played a very important role because of negative marking.

Expected Cutoff (Based on 2025 Trend)

The cutoff remained in a moderate range.

For general category, it was around 70 to 78 marks.

For OBC category, it was around 68 to 74 marks.

For SC category, it was around 65 to 70 marks.

For ST category, it was around 60 to 65 marks.

Previous Year Trend

In 2024, the exam was conducted in June and the level was moderate.

In 2022, the paper was easy to moderate but GK and law sections were slightly tougher.

The pattern has remained almost the same in recent years.

The difficulty level has also stayed mostly moderate.

Important Observations

General knowledge and Rajasthan GK are the most important sections.

Law questions are concept-based rather than direct.

Speed and accuracy both are important.

Negative marking affects the final score significantly.

Expectation For 2026

The exam is expected to be conducted in 2026, most likely in the middle or later part of the year.

The difficulty level is expected to remain moderate.

The cutoff for general category may go slightly higher and can be around 72 to 80 marks.

There is also a possibility that CET requirement may continue before the exam.

Final Preparation Strategy

Focus more on Rajasthan GK and current affairs of last 6 to 8 months.

Practice reasoning daily to improve speed.

Month 1: Cover Reasoning + Basic Computer thoroughly; practice puzzles, coding-decoding, and shortcut keys daily.

Alongside, start General Knowledge, Science, Social Science, and make notes of current affairs.

Month 2: Focus deeply on Rajasthan GK – history, geography, culture, economy, and polity.

Revise Month 1 topics side by side with daily practice quizzes.

SELECTION PROCESS

Driver candidates must undergo a vehicle handling test.

Band candidates are tested on their musical skills.

Mounted candidates will be assessed on their ability to ride and handle horses.

Medical Test

Candidates who pass the previous stages will undergo a medical examination to ensure they meet the necessary health standards. This test checks for visual acuity, physical disabilities, and any other medical conditions that may impact job performance. Only those who are deemed medically fit will be allowed to proceed further.
