Candidates must pass each stage to move forward in the recruitment process. Below is a detailed overview of the selection procedure for various categories:
Written Exam
The written exam is worth a total of 150 marks and consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The exam covers topics such as reasoning, general knowledge, and Rajasthan-specific subjects. Negative marking will be applied for incorrect answers. Candidates must score the minimum qualifying marks, which vary based on the candidate's category.
Physical Standard Test (PST)
Candidates who pass the written exam will need to undergo the Physical Standard Test (PST), where their height, weight (for female candidates), and chest measurement (for male candidates) will be checked. Those who do not meet the prescribed physical standards will be disqualified from further selection.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
After passing the PST, candidates must appear for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), which evaluates their physical fitness. This test includes activities such as running and other exercises depending on the constable category. The marks obtained in this stage are included in the final merit list. Candidates who do not successfully complete the test will be eliminated from the process.
Proficiency Test (for Specific Posts)
This stage is only for candidates applying for certain constable positions, such as driver, band, and mounted police. The proficiency test evaluates the practical skills required for each specific role:
Driver candidates must undergo a vehicle handling test.
Band candidates are tested on their musical skills.
Mounted candidates will be assessed on their ability to ride and handle horses.
Medical Test
Candidates who pass the previous stages will undergo a medical examination to ensure they meet the necessary health standards. This test checks for visual acuity, physical disabilities, and any other medical conditions that may impact job performance. Only those who are deemed medically fit will be allowed to proceed further.
Document Verification
Candidates who clear the medical test will be required to submit their original documents for verification. These documents may include educational certificates, identity proof, category certificates (if applicable), and other relevant paperwork. Any discrepancies or failure to provide valid documents will result in disqualification.
