The candidate’s eligibility for RBI JUNIOR ENGINEER Examination is based on the fulfilment of the following conditions:

Nationality

A candidate must be either :

1. A Citizen of India or

2. A subject of Nepal or

3. A subject of Bhutan or

4. A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 to permanently settle in India or

5. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to permanently settle in India, shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

6. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (2), (3), (4) and (5) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

NOTE. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the Examination, but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.

Age (as on 01-12-2024): Between 20 and 30 years.

Candidates born not earlier than 02/12/1994 and not later than 01/12/2004 (both days inclusive) are only eligible to apply.

The Reserve Bank of India(RBI) has released the RBI JE Official Notification 2025 for the recruitment of 11 Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical) vacancies. Intrested candidates can apply online application from 24 December 2024 to 20 January 2025. RBI JE 2025 exam held on 8 February 2025 and Admit card will be released on Last week of January 2025.

OVERVIEW

The Reserve Bank of India was established on April 1, 1935 in accordance with the provisions of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934.The Central Office of the Reserve Bank was initially established in Kolkata but was permanently moved to Mumbai in 1937. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Nationality

A candidate must be either :

1. A Citizen of India or

2. A subject of Nepal or

3. A subject of Bhutan or

4. A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 to permanently settle in India or

5. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to permanently settle in India, shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

6. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (2), (3), (4) and (5) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

NOTE. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the Examination, but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.

Age (as on 01-12-2024): Between 20 and 30 years.

Candidates born not earlier than 02/12/1994 and not later than 01/12/2004 (both days inclusive) are only eligible to apply.

Education Qualification

Junior Engineer (Civil): Minimum three years Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised Institute or University or Board with minimum 65% of marks (55% for SC/ST/PWD)

OR

Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised University with 55% marks (45% for SC/ST/PWD).

Junior Engineer (Electrical): Minimum three years Diploma in Electrical or Electrical and Electronic Engineering from a recognised Institute or University or Board with minimum 65% of marks (55% for SC/ST/PWD)

OR

Degree in Electrical or Electrical and Electronic Engineering from a recognised University with 55% marks (45% for SC/ST/PWD).

Experiance

Junior Engineer (Civil): At least 2 years’ experience for Diploma holders or at least 1-year experience for Degree holders in execution and supervision of civil construction work and/ or civil maintenance of office buildings/ commercial buildings/ residential complexes with basic knowledge of RCC design and other civil works, working knowledge of computers, experience in preparation of tenders for civil works, etc or a 1-year graduate apprenticeship training in a PSU.

Junior Engineer (Electrical): At least 2 years’ experience for Diploma holders or at least 1-year experience for Degree holders in execution and supervision of electrical installations in large buildings/ commercial buildings having HT/ LT substations, central AC plants, lifts, UPS, DG sets, CCTV, Fire alarm system, etc or a 1-year graduate apprenticeship training in a PSU.

EXAM PATTERN

The Examination for RBI JE shall be held as an Objective Type Computer Based Test. It shall contain a total of 180 questions and 300 marks. The total time allotted is 150 minutes.

Engineering Discipline Paper II (Electrical)           

Basic 'knowledge of' air conditioning & refrigeration, Inverters, rectifiers, UPS systems, Energy conservation techniques, LT distribution system, cabling/ internal wiring system, panel design and fault-finding, preventive maintenance, Etc., Testing of electrical installation, Basics of elevators, design, electrical safeties, protections controllers, Etc., Basics of CCTV system. MOD OF SELECTION

Final selection will be on the basis of candidate's performance in the online examination (in the order of merit), qualifying in LPT, Medical fitness, verification of certificates, etc. to the Bank’s satisfaction. Decision of the Bank in this regard, shall be final. Appointment of selected candidate will be subject to his/her being declared medically fit as per the rules of the Bank.

Step 4. Register themself by clicking on “Click Here For New Registration”.
Step 5. Fill up your details and submit.
Step 6. An Email & SMS is sent to the registered email ID and a Mobile number containing the Registration number and Password.
Step 7. Log in with the Registration number and Password and fill in all the important details asked there.
Step 8. Upload scanned copy of recent photograph and signature. The Size and Dimensions of photograph and signature is mentioned below:

Step 8. The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets. On successful completion of the transaction, an e-Receipt will be generated. On successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt will be generated.

Step 9. Take a printout of the e-receipt and online application form.

ADMIT CARD

RBI JE admit card will be released on the official website of the RBI:

Step 2. Click on Current Vacancies on the home page.
Step 3. Click on the Call Letters.
Step 4. A page will open. Click on the link Recruitment for the Post of Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical) Call Letter.
Step 5. A login page will appear. Then enter Registration Number/ Roll Number and Date of Birth/Password. Also fill Captcha.
Step 6. Click on “Submit” Button.
Step 7. The RBI JE Admit card will be displayed on the screen.
Step 8. Download and take a print out for future reference.

RESULTS

Candidates need to follow the steps below to check the result of RBI JE:

Step 2. Find the option for RBI JE Recruitment and click on the link for Result/Merit List download. 
Step 3.The result in the form of a PDF of the merit list will open on the screen.
Step 4. To check if your name is in the merit list, press CTRL+F and then your name/roll number. If your name appears, that means you are shortlisted for the further recruitment process.
