The Reserve Bank of India has released the notification for the Grade B Officers post on April 26, 2023. The total number of vacancies for the post is 291. The online registration process for the recruitment will commence on May 9, 2023, and will continue till June 9, 2023. The RBI Grade B Phase I exam for DR General will be held on July 09, 2023 and Phase II exam for DR General will be held on July 30, 2023. The Reserve Bank of India was established on April 1, 1935, in accordance with the provisions of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934. Its headquarter is situated in Mumbai. It is the central bank of India and is a regulatory body under the Ministry of Finance. Its primary function is to issue, manage and control the supply of Indian currency and to manage the payment system of the Indian banking system.
Reserve Bank of India conducts RBI Grade B Examination every year for recruitment of candidates for its sub-offices and branches in the country.
RBI GRADE B: EXAM PATTERN
RBI Grade B Preliminary Examination is a Computer Based Test which comprises Four sections of a total of 200 Questions and 200 marks. The time duration of the overall test is 120 minutes. For candidates using the Scribe facility, the total time duration is 160 minutes.

RBI GRADE B: MODE OF EXAMINATION
The RBI Grade B Preliminary Examination is a Computer Based Test. Questions shall be based on Multiple Choice objective Type.
RBI GRADE B: MEDIUM OF EXAMINATION
1. Questions from General Awareness, Reasoning Ability & Quantitative Aptitude section shall be available in both English and Hindi.
2. Questions from the English Language section shall be available in English only.
3. Candidates need to choose the language of the question paper they want to attempt before the commencement of exam.
4. However, candidates will be allowed to change the language of the particular question also.
RBI GRADE B: MARKING SCHEME
Sections of the test,
1. General Awareness

3. Quantitative Aptitude
4. Reasoning
In the RBI Grade B Preliminary Examination, questions are asked from these sections where the English language comprises 30 Questions of 1 mark each, Quantitative Aptitude comprises 30 questions of 1 mark each, Reasoning Ability comprises 60 questions of 1 mark each, and General Awareness comprises 80 questions of 1 mark each. Overall Two hundred marks paper.
Marking Scheme Highlights:
1. One mark is given for every correct answer
2. There is a negative marking for the wrong answer. 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer.
3. There are no marks deducting for any question skipped by the candidate.
Normalization of Score:
The Reserve Bank of India makes use of the approach of Normalization to transform all marks right into a standardized layout to make it fair for all applicants appearing for the exam
Following is the formula to calculate the Normalized Marks of the candidates in RBI Grade B Exam.
Note:
1. The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using the Equipercentile method.
2. Scores up to two decimal points shall be taken for the purpose of calculations.

RBI GRADE B: MODE OF EXAMINATION
The RBI Grade B Preliminary Examination is a Computer Based Test. Questions shall be based on Multiple Choice objective Type.
RBI GRADE B: MEDIUM OF EXAMINATION
1. Questions from General Awareness, Reasoning Ability & Quantitative Aptitude section shall be available in both English and Hindi.
2. Questions from the English Language section shall be available in English only.
3. Candidates need to choose the language of the question paper they want to attempt before the commencement of exam.
4. However, candidates will be allowed to change the language of the particular question also.
RBI GRADE B: MARKING SCHEME
Sections of the test,
1. General Awareness
2. English Language
3. Quantitative Aptitude
4. Reasoning
In the RBI Grade B Preliminary Examination, questions are asked from these sections where the English language comprises 30 Questions of 1 mark each, Quantitative Aptitude comprises 30 questions of 1 mark each, Reasoning Ability comprises 60 questions of 1 mark each, and General Awareness comprises 80 questions of 1 mark each. Overall Two hundred marks paper.
Marking Scheme Highlights:
1. One mark is given for every correct answer
2. There is a negative marking for the wrong answer. 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer.
3. There are no marks deducting for any question skipped by the candidate.
Normalization of Score:
The Reserve Bank of India makes use of the approach of Normalization to transform all marks right into a standardized layout to make it fair for all applicants appearing for the exam
Following is the formula to calculate the Normalized Marks of the candidates in RBI Grade B Exam.
Note:
1. The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using the Equipercentile method.
2. Scores up to two decimal points shall be taken for the purpose of calculations.

1. Registration: Candidate follow the below-mentioned steps to complete registration process for RBI GRADE B OFFICER:
Step 1: To register for RBI Grade B, candidates need to select ‘Click Here for new registration’
Step 2: Enter certain details such as name, category, date of birth, email ID, contact number, and academic details among others
Step 3: After submitting the details, a provisional user ID and password will be generated

RBI Grade B 2023: Who Can Apply
Nationality / Citizenship:
A candidate applying for the RBI Grade B exam must be either –
(i) a Citizen of India or
(ii) a subject of Nepal or
(iii) a subject of Bhutan or
(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
Age Limit:
Candidates appearing for the RBI Grade B 2023 examination should be at least 21 years of age, whereas the maximum age limit for the RBI Grade B exam is 30 years. For the candidates, who are possessing M.Phil. and Ph.D. qualifications, the upper age limit for them will be 32 and 34 years respectively.

Educational Qualifications:
RBI Grade B Educational qualifications vary post to post. The detailed information about educational qualification are given below:

| • Graduation in any discipline /Equivalent technical or professional qualification with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) or Post-Graduation / Equivalent technical qualification with minimum 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) in aggregate of all semesters/years. Note: • Any such full-time course from a recognised University / Institute that is taken after Class XIIth and is at least of 3 years’ duration/ candidates possessing professional and technical qualifications which are recognised by the Government as equivalent to professional and technical graduation will be eligible for admission to the examination. • Candidates who have passed the Final Examination for Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India may also apply for the post. | A Master's Degree in Economics / Econometrics / Quantitative Economics / Mathematical Economics / Integrated Economics Course/ Finance, with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognised Indian or Foreign University /Institute. OR PGDM/ MBA Finance with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognised Indian or Foreign University /Institute. RBI Grade B 2023: Scheme of Exam
1. There will be 200 questions from 4 sections; General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, and Reasoning.
2. The time duration of the RBI Grade B Phase I Exam is 120.
3. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer, with no deduction for unanswered questions.
4. The questions will be of an Objective type
5. Except for English Language, other sections will be in English and Hindi.
6. Total 200 marks atllotted for RBI Grade B Phase I exam.

1. Candidates must not forget to take their admit card with ID proof and 2 recent colored photographs.
2. No use of electronic items, books, or watches allowed inside the examination hall.
