RESERVE BANK OF INDIA ASSISTANT EXAMINATION
To be eligible for the RBI Assistant Main Examination, candidates need to qualify for the RBI Assistant Preliminary Examination with the required cut-off as decided by RBI authority.
An adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by RBI depending upon requirements will be shortlisted for Online Main Examination.
RBI ASSISTANT MAINS EXAM PATTERN
RBI Assistant Main Examination is held as an Objective Type Online Computer Based Test. RBI Assistant Main Examination consists of total 200 questions and total 200 Marks. The total duration of examination is 135 Minutes.

Marking Scheme Highlights :-
1. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.
2. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.
Normalization of Score :
The Reserve Bank of India makes use of the approach of Normalization to transform all marks right into a standardized layout to make it fair for all applicants appearing for the exam
Following is the formula to calculate the Normalized Marks of the candidates in RBI Assistant Exam.
Note :
1. The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using the Equipercentile method.

RESERVE BANK OF INDIA ASSISTANT EXAMINATION
The candidates who qualify for the RBI Assistant Preliminary Examination with the required cut-off as decided by the RBI authority are eligible for RBI Assistant Main Examination. Based on the marks scored in Preliminary Examination, candidates will be shortlisted, category-wise, to appear in Mains Examination.
Candidates willing to apply for RBI ASSISTANT Examination are required to fulfill certain conditions to be eligible for it. The candidate who does not satisfy the Eligibility criteria like Age, Minimum educational qualification, etc., their candidature shall be rejected by the authorities.
The candidate’s eligibility for RBI ASSISTANT Examination is based on the fulfillment of the following conditions:-
1. Nationality
2. Age Limit & Relaxations
3. Educational Qualifications
RBI ASSISTANT NATIONALITY
Only the people who are citizens of India are eligible to apply for the post of Assistant in RBI.
RBI ASSISTANT AGE LIMIT
Candidates should not be below 20 years and not above 28 years.
Relaxations of Upper age limit :-

Note: Cumulative Age Relaxation will not be available either under the above items or in combination with any other items.
RBI ASSISTANT EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
1. At least a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the aggregate and the knowledge of word processing on PC.
2. A candidate belonging to the Ex-servicemen category (except dependents of ex-servicemen) should either be a graduate from a recognized University or should have passed the matriculation or its equivalent examination of the Armed Forces and rendered at least 15 years of defense service.
3. Candidates applying for a post in a particular recruiting office should be proficient in the language (i.e. know to read, write, speak and understand the language) of the state/ any of the states falling under the recruiting office.
Note : The date of passing eligibility will be the date appearing on the mark-sheet or provisional certificate issued by the University/ Institute. In case the result of a particular examination is posted on the website of the University/ Institute, a certificate issued by the appropriate authority of the University/ Institute indicating the date on which the result was posted on the website will be taken as the date of passing.

RBI Assistant Mains Exam was conducted on 8th May 2022 for the candidates who have qualified in the prelims exam. RBI ASSISTANT EXAM SALARY STRUCTURE
Assistants will draw a starting basic pay of Rs 20,700/- per month in a scale of Rs 20700 – 1200 (3) – 24300 – 1440 (4) - 30060 – 1920 (6) – 41580 – 2080 (2) – 45740 – 2370 (3) – 52850 – 2850 – 55700 (20 years) and other allowances, viz. Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance etc., as admissible from time to time. At present, the initial monthly Gross emoluments for Assistants will be approximately Rs 45,050/-. *House Allowance of 15% of Pay will be paid to employees additionally if they are not staying in Bank’s accommodation.

Step 1- Registration: Visit the official website of RBI.Click the 'New Registration' link available on the home page.
Step 2- Confirmation of Password: In the registration form, candidates need to enter their name, mobile number, email ID.Upon successful registration, candidates will be provided with the provisional registration number and password.
Step 3- Filling out the application form : At this stage, candidates had to enter all the relevant details carefully before submitting the RBI application form. After this, an application number was generated. Candidates had to refer to this application number for all their future correspondences.
Step 4- Mode of Payment:The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets. On successful completion of the transaction, an e-Receipt will be generated.

RBI Assistant: Salary Structure
Assistants will draw a starting basic pay of Rs. 20,700/- per month in the scale of Rs. 20700 – 1200 (3) – 24300 – 1440 (4) - 30060 – 1920 (6) – 41580 – 2080 (2) – 45740 – 2370 (3) – 52850 – 2850 – 55700 (20 years) and other allowances, viz. Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance etc., as admissible from time to time. At present, initial monthly Gross emoluments for Assistants will be approximately Rs. 45,050/-. *House Allowance of 15% of Pay will be paid to employees additionally, if they are not staying in Bank’s accommodation.

RBI Assistant: Who Can Apply
Nationality/ Citizenship
Applications are invited from eligible Indian Citizens for the post of “Assistant” in the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
Age Limit
Between 20 and 28 years.
Education Qualification
At least a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PwBD candidates) in the aggregate and the knowledge of word processing on PC.
RBI Assistant: How Can Apply
Step 1: Click on the NEW REGISTRATION button on the topmost right corner of the official website.
Step 2: Start your application process by providing the basic details such as name, contact number, email id, address, etc. and click on the save and next button.
Step 3: Upload your photograph, signature, and RBI Assistant Hand Written Declaration. Both the photograph and the signature must be clear and legible. The permissible file size of the photograph must be of a minimum of 20 KB and of a maximum of 50 KB and that of the signature must be of a minimum of 10 KB and of a maximum of 20 KB.
Step 4: Next, fill in your educational qualification details and professional qualification. Click on the save and next button after filling in the details.
Step 5: Preview your application form one last time as you won’t be allowed to make any changes further. Click on the save and next button after previewing your Application Form.
Step 6: Pay your Application Fee through an Online Payment Option, i.e. through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking.
Step 7: Click on Final Submit Button. Your application form will be submitted successfully.

RBI Assistant: Scheme of Exam
1. There will be 200 questions from 5 sections; English language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, Computer Knowledge, and General Awareness
2. The time duration of the RBI Assistant Prelims Exam is 135 minutes (English language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability section for 20 minutes, Computer Knowledge for 20 minutes, and General Awareness for 25 minutes).
3. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer, with no deduction for unanswered questions.
4. The questions will be of an Objective type
5. Except for English Language, other sections will be in English and Hindi.
RBI Assistant: Admission to Examination Centres
1. Candidates must not forget to take their admit card with ID proof and 2 recent colored photographs.
2. No use of electronic items, books, or watches allowed inside the examination hall.
3. Candidates should reach the examination center 1 hour prior to the commencement of the exam.
4. Candidates need to bring a blue ballpoint pen. A rough sheet will be provided at the examination hall.
5. Candidates cannot leave the examination center without the conclusion of the RBI Assistant 2022 exam.
6. Candidates need to follow all the instructions given by the invigilator.
7. Candidates found with debarred items will be disqualified from the exam.
