Candidates seeking to take admission in MCA courses have to fulfil the specified NIMCET eligibility criteria. Candidates not meeting the NIMCET eligibility criteria will not be allowed to appear for the entrance exam. The candidate’s eligibility for NIMCET Examination is based on the fulfilment of the following conditions:-

NIMCET EXAM: NATIONALITY
The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
NIMCET EXAM: AGE LIMIT & RELAXATIONS
To appear in the NIMCET entrance exam, there is no age limit.
NIMCET EXAM: EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Indian Nationals securing at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale in case of SC/ ST/PwD) in
(i) B.Sc. / B.Sc. (Hons) / BCA / BIT / B.Voc. (Computer Science/ Computer Applications)/ BBA (Computer Applications) of minimum three years full-time programme from a recognized University with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects

Conversion of scored marks from CGPA to percentage and vice-versa is not permitted. (CGPA other than 10-point scale will be converted to 10-point scale based on Unitary method)

Mathematics
This Section Comprised of 50 Questions of which 95% were very easy and rest were of moderate level. Question from all the topics were asked on a fair basis.
50 out of 50 Question were easily approachable and could have been solved directly by shortcut & tricks in 1st attempt. An average of 48 to 50 Questions should have been attempted in this section.
Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning
Questions were Easy and very easily approachable if the question were solved using short tricks. Questions based on quantitative aptitude were easily solvable using shortcut tricks and techniques.
Overall this section was easy but could have taken up time if not solved with proper strategy and time management. 100 percent accuracy could have been attained in this section.
Computer Awareness
This section comprised of 10 questions. And were based on Number system, Binary arithmetic, Binary codes, Boolean Algebra, Logic Gates, Storage devices. The question were of easy level and all 10 question should have been done in the first attempt.
General English
This Section Comprised of 20 Question. Difficulty level was easy to moderate and A bit tricky. Majority of the topics likes sentence completion, vocabulary test, sentence rearrangement, reading comprehension were asked.
Question from reading comprehension were a bit ambiguous and could have consumed time.
Overall, the section was moderate and 17 out of 20 question could have solved correctly.
Major Highlghts
1- Students found the overall difficulty level of the exam was Easy to moderate.
2- In Math section, out of 50 Questions of which 95% were very easy and rest were of moderate level.
3- Difficulty level of English was easy to moderate and A bit tricky.
4- Questions based on quantitative aptitude were easily solvable using shortcut tricks and techniques.
5- As the paper had negative marking difficult questions would certainly have helped students increase their scores.
NIMCET Cutoff 2020
The authorities will determine the NIMCET cutoff by taking into consideration various factors related to the examination. The cutoff will vary as per the college and category that the candidates will choose. Those candidates who meet the cutoff will have higher chances of admissions.

Computer Awareness
This section comprised of 10 questions. And were based on Number system, Binary arithmetic, Binary codes, Boolean Algebra, Logic Gates, Storage devices. The question were of easy level and all 10 question should have been done in the first attempt.
General English
This Section Comprised of 20 Question. Difficulty level was easy to moderate and A bit tricky. Majority of the topics likes sentence completion, vocabulary test, sentence rearrangement, reading comprehension were asked.
Question from reading comprehension were a bit ambiguous and could have consumed time.
Overall, the section was moderate and 17 out of 20 question could have solved correctly.
Major Highlghts
1- Students found the overall difficulty level of the exam was Easy to moderate.
2- In Math section, out of 50 Questions of which 95% were very easy and rest were of moderate level.
3- Difficulty level of English was easy to moderate and A bit tricky.
4- Questions based on quantitative aptitude were easily solvable using shortcut tricks and techniques.
5- As the paper had negative marking difficult questions would certainly have helped students increase their scores.

The application process is online, Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria can fill out the application form. The application process involves several steps, such as registering, completing the application form, uploading the required documents, paying the fee, and final submission. Candidates only need to fill out the application form with correct details, otherwise, you are responsible for rejection.
STEPS TO FILL NIMCET EXAM ONLINE APPLICATION FORM
1. Registration: Candidates have to visit the official website at nimcet.in and click on the link to apply for NIMCET. They have to enter their e-mail ID along with the 10-digit mobile number. A mail was sent to the candidates for the purpose of validation and creating a unique password.
2. Application Form: After successful registration and login, candidates had to proceed with NIMCET application form. They have to fill the personal and academic details. They also have to opt for three cities for exam centres in the order of preference.
3. Uploading documents: Candidates will next have to upload their photograph and scanned copy of signature in NIMCET application form. Relevant documents such as proof of identity, date of birth (SSLC/ 10th Marks Card), all other marks cards etc. and the category/ caste/ PwD certificate(s) have to be uploaded.

NIMCET 2023: Scheme of Exam
1. NIMCET Examination will be held as an Online Computer Based Test.
2. Questions will be Objective type Multiple choice in nature.
3. NIMCE exam will be conducted with only one question paper containing 120 multiple choice questions covering 4 sections - Mathematics, Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning, Computer Awareness & General English.
4. Four marks will be given to the candidates for each correct attempt.
5. One mark will be deducted for each wrong attempt.
6. No marks will be awarded for un-attempted questions
7. Total time allotted for the NIMCET exam is 120 Minutes.

NIMCET 2023: Admission to the Examination Centres
1. The Examination Centre will be opened two hours before the commencement of the test. Therefore, candidates must ensure that they leave home well in advance considering all facts like traffic, location of the Centre, weather conditions, etc. Candidates are expected to take their seats immediately after the opening of the Examination Hall.
2. The candidate must show, on-demand, the Admit Card for admission in the Examination Hall. A candidate who does not possess a valid Admit Card shall not be allowed to enter the Examination Hall by the Centre Superintendent.
3. A seat with a roll number will be allotted to each candidate. Candidates must find out and occupy their allotted seats. If a candidate is found appearing in the Examination from a seat or room other than the allotted one, the candidature shall be cancelled.
4. During the examination time, the Invigilator will check Admit Card of the candidates to ascertain the identity of each candidate. The Invigilators will also put their own signature in the place provided in the Answer Sheet and on the Attendance Sheet.
5. A candidate who comes late shall not be permitted to enter the Examination Centre under any circumstances.
6. Candidates are not allowed to bring any barred item or any item which could be used for Unfair practices. Possession of any such article with the candidates inside the Centre premises will attract the penalties of unfair practices.

NIMCET 2023: Admit Card
Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to download admit card for the NIMCET exam:
Step 1: Open the official website
Step 2: Click NIMCET admit card link
Step 3: Log in using your e-mail ID and password
Step 4: NIMCET admit card will be displayed on the screen

NIMCET 2023: Result
Candidate can check their results by follow the steps listed below:
Step 1: Go to the official website
Step 2: Candidates will have to click on the NIMCET result link.
Step 3: Next, candidates will have to log in using their registered email ID and password
Step 4: NIMCET score/rank will be displayed on the screen.
Step 5: Candidates will be able to download their scores in the form of a score/rank card.
Step 6: Take a printout for future reference as it will be required at the time of the admission process

NIMCET 2023: Mode of Selection
1. The application form will be common for appearing in examination, counselling & admission to MCA at all eleven participating NITs offering MCA programme. There will be no need to apply separately to any NIT for admission to MCA programme.
2. After declaration of the result, candidates will need to register for the counselling process. The counselling/choice filling will be started from 29th June 2023 through online mode.
3. Candidates, those qualify the examination only they will be allowed to fill choices of Institution in which they want to get admission. Candidates must use their login ID & password to fill the choices of Institution.
4. After seat allotment, candidates should report at any one of the RC (Reporting Centers) personally to confirm their seat. The admission will be given to the candidates on the basis of rank & filled choices. Candidates should also bring their documents at reporting center for verification.
5. Before going for remote reporting, candidates must have to submit Rs. 10,000 as an initial fee through SBI-I Collect only. Under any circumstances, the transfer from one NIT to another NIT will not be permitted once the candidates have taken admission in any of the participating NIT.
