IBPS CRP RRBs XIV recruitment for Officers (Scale-I, II, III) and Office Assistants in Regional Rural Banks is ongoing. Online registration and fee payment are open from September 1, 2025, to September 21, 2025. Pre-Exam Training (PET) is scheduled for November 2025. Preliminary Online Exams for Officers Scale-I and Office Assistants will be in November/December 2025, with results in December 2025/January 2026. Main/Single Exams follow in December 2025/February 2026, interviews in January/February 2026, and provisional allotment in February/March 2026.
STUDY TIPS
The IBPS RRB Officer exam (CRP RRBs XIV) is competitive, with Prelims focusing on Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude/Numerical Ability, while Mains adds General Awareness, Language (English/Hindi), and Computer Knowledge. Negative marking is 1/4th for wrong answers, and sectional timings apply (e.g., Prelims: 25 min for Reasoning, 20 min for Quant, total 45 min). Based on the official structure and expert advice, here are effective study tips:
Master the Syllabus and Exam Pattern: Familiarize yourself with the pattern early. For Scale I Prelims: 80 questions (40 Reasoning, 40 Quant) for 80 marks. Mains: 200 questions/200 marks across 5 sections (Reasoning 50M, Quant 50M, GA 40M, Language 40M, Computer 20M) in 2 hours. Scale II/III have single-level exams with similar sections but added professional knowledge for specialists. Prioritize high-weightage topics like puzzles/seating in Reasoning, DI/simplification in Quant, banking/current affairs in GA, and basics like MS Office/internet in Computers.
Create a Realistic Study Schedule: Allocate daily time based on strengths/weaknesses—e.g., 2 hours Quant, 1.5 hours Reasoning, 1 hour GA. Include breaks to avoid burnout and gradually increase study hours as the exam nears.
Focus on Basics and Shortcuts: Build a strong foundation in arithmetic, logic, and GK. Use shortcuts for calculations and logical tricks for puzzles to improve speed. Practice 50-100 questions daily per section.
Daily Current Affairs and GK Routine: Dedicate 30-45 minutes to newspapers (e.g., The Hindu) or apps for banking news, schemes, and rural economy. Make concise notes for revision; focus on last 6 months' events.
Practice Mocks and Analyze: Take 1-2 full-length mocks weekly, simulating exam conditions. Analyze errors, time per question, and accuracy (aim for 80-90%). Use platforms like Adda247 or Oliveboard for RRB-specific tests.
Language and Computer Prep: For English/Hindi, practice RC, error spotting, and vocabulary daily. For Computers, revise fundamentals from books like Lucent. If opting for Hindi, ensure proficiency in local language as required.
Health and Time Management: Study 5-8 hours daily, exercise, and sleep well. During exams, attempt easy questions first to build confidence and manage sectional timings.
Use resources like official IBPS notification, Arihant/BS Sijwali books for Reasoning/Quant, and Manorama Yearbook for GA.
