EXAM PATTERN:
IBPS RRB Office Assistant Main Examination will be held as an Objective Type Online Computer Based Test. IBPS Office Assistant Main Examination shall consist of a total of 200 questions and a total of 200 Marks. The total duration of the examination will be 120 Minutes:

Mode Of Examination:
IBPS RRB Office Assistant Mains Examination will be held as an Online Computer Based Test. Questions will be based on Multiple Choice Objective Type.
Medium Of Examination:
All Questions will be available in both English & Hindi except questions from English Language/Hindi Language, it will be available in only English and Hindi will be available in only Hindi Language.
Marking Scheme:
1. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, 1/4 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty.
2. If a question is left blank, no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.
Marking Scheme Highlights:
1. For the post of Office Assistants there is no interview round, marks obtained only in the main examination will be considered for final merit listing.
2. A wrong answer will result in a deduction of 1/4 marks.
3. No penalty for No answer marked.
Normalisation of Score:
The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using the equi-percentile method.
First, the percentile rank of the students for each shift of the exam is calculated using the formula given below:
After that, based on the number of available vacancies, a cut-off percentile rank is decided.
Based on this cut-off score, candidates are shortlisted for the next phase of the recruitment process.
Note:- Scores up to two decimal points will be taken for the purpose of calculations.
Important Facts:
1. IBPS Office Assistant Main Examination is a Computer Based Examination.
2. 120 minutes ( 2 Hours) time is allotted for the Examination, There shall be sectional time also.
3. The total marks allotted for Online Main Examination are 200.
4. Those candidates who use a scribe shall be eligible for compensatory time of 20 minutes or otherwise advised for every hour of the examination.
5. One-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned will be deducted as penalty for each wrong answer.
6. There will be no penalty for the questions unanswered.
7. Normalisation of Score will be done using Equi-Percentile Method.
8. Marks obtained in the online main examination only will be considered for final merit listing.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Candidates willing to apply for IBPS RRB Office Assistant Examination are required to fulfil certain conditions to be eligible for it. The candidate who does not satisfy the Eligibility criteria like Age, Minimum educational qualification etc., their candidature shall be rejected by the authorities. The criteria for eligibility IBPS RRB Office Assistant are decided by the conduction body itself.

The candidate must be:
A Citizen of India or
A subject of Nepal or
A subject of Bhutan or
A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
Age Limit:
Between 18 years and 28 years.

The maximum age limit specified above is applicable to General Category candidates and EWS category candidates only. For other categories the following relaxations would apply:

The selection process for IBPS RRB Clerk includes the pre-examination and the main examination. As this is a junior position, there will be no interview.
