INTELLIGENCE BUREAU ASSISTANT CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE OFFICER EXAMINATION

The Ministry of Home Affairs( MHA) is an organization under the Government of India to recruit staff for various posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India. IB is the Intelligence Bureau. It is an Indian internal intelligence service that deals with internal tasks & intelligence. It monitors the risks of terrorization within the nation. It provides valuable information to other intelligence & police agencies. They keep an eye on suspicious behavior, so these organizations look after the internal and external terrorization threats against the country and its people.

IB ACIO EXAM PATTERN

Tier I is an objective-based paper. It consists a total of 100 questions of various sections such as General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, General Studies, Reasoning, and Numerical/Analytical/Logical ability carrying 100 marks in total. The time allotted for the exam is 1 hour ( 60 minutes).

The Examination for Tier- I of IB ACIO Examination will be held as a Computer Based Examination and will contain only Objective Type, Multiple choice based questions.

IB ACIO (TIER I) MARKING SCHEME

2. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 Marks for each wrong answer.
3. No marks will be deducted for the Unattempted Questions.

The IB ACIO or Intelligence Bureau Assistant Central Intelligence Officer exam is administered by the Department of Home Affairs (MHA) to fill vacancies for the GradeII Intelligence Bureau  Central Intelligence Assistant (IB ACIO) position. IB ACIO is a national-level exam that is taken once a year. IB ACIO Exam is divided into three stages Tier I, II, and Interview. Tier I is an objective-type test that comprises questions spread across five sections. Tier-II is a descriptive test of 50 marks. The Interview carries a total of 100 marks.

2. Start from the basics of each topic first.
3. Basic mathematical operations like Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Squares & Square Roots, Cubes & Cube Roots, Tables etc. should be on finger tips.
4. Practice the harder sections again and again.
5. Practice shortcuts & tricks.
6. Always start by solving examples.
7. Never try to memorise the solution instead go through the logic.
8. Try to apply certain topics to real life world to get better understanding.

Reasoning Ability :-

1. Firstly focus on Frequently Asked Questions from this section.
2. This section can be strengthened by solving various types of Puzzles & Games.
3. Always depend on multiple sources for practising questions.
4. Never leave any topic.
5. Read the instructions carefully and analyse the information provided in the questions

4. Students are required to avoid the mistake of reading incomplete questions and arriving at an incorrect answer eventually. Read the questions carefully and check what is being asked.
5. Practice Antonym & Synonym daily.
6. First try to understand the Theme of the passage before jumping to the questions.
7. While answering the direct questions based on vocabulary, where you are confused about the right answer, you can opt for the elimination method.

The application process is online. Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria can only fill out the application form. The application process involves several steps, such as registering, completing the application form, uploading the required documents, paying the fee, and final submission. Candidates only need to fill out the application form with correct details, otherwise, you are responsible for rejection.

STEPS TO FILL IB ACIO EXAM  ONLINE APPLICATION FORM

Below are the steps that the students need to follow when completing the application form for IB ACIO:  

1. Registration: To register for the exam, candidates had to enter certain details. After successful registration, candidates were provided the registration number and password. 

2. Filling up the IB ACIO application form: Candidates need to fill their personal, academic, and contact details in the application form and note down system-generated application numbers. They also have to create a password that will be used for future logins. Below are the details that the candidates should fill in the application form.  

Basic details: Here, candidates need to fill in the category, nationality, personal details, select exam centres, date of birth, gender, father's name or mother's name, address, etc. 

Educational qualification, work experience & languages: Here, candidates need to enter details of their graduation such as year of passing, college, percentage of marks, grade (if any). They are also required to enter their work experience. Candidates are also required to enter the languages they can read, write and speak.

Preferences: Candidates need to enter the preferences of banks where they wish to work upon selection. SC/ST/Minority candidates can opt for pre-exam training in this part

3. Upload of Prescribed Documents & Images (Photographs and Scanned Signatures): upload photographs, signatures.The size of the file had to be more than 50 KB Images that are not as per prescribed specification shall not be considered and may lead to rejection of the application.

4. Choose your Test City Pay the Examination Fee: While applying, candidates have to select any four cities of their choice. The efforts will be made to allow the city of examination to the candidates in order of choice opted by them in their online Application Form. However, due to administrative/logistic reasons, a different city can be allotted. The candidates can pay the application fees in online mode only. For online payment, candidates can pay through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking/Paytm/UPI.Application fee for general and OBC candidates is INR 100.

5. Print the Confirmation page: The last step is to take printouts of the confirmation page, after successful payment of application fees.

IB ACIO EXAM ADMIT CARD

Eligible candidates can download the IB ACIO admit card with their credentials such as application number and date of birth. No candidate will receive an Admit card by email, fax, etc. It includes details such as the candidate's name, test date, test time, and test center. On the day of the exam, candidates must bring an original government-issued photo ID  and a blue or black pen. Along with the downloaded admit card, all the necessary documents, and items.
