A good and result-oriented Strategy & Planning for the examination will definitely allow the candidates to make their way through GPAT Examination.
1. Understand the Syllabus and Weightage
Focus on Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry as these carry the maximum weight.
Don’t ignore Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutical Jurisprudence, Biochemistry, and Microbiology — they often have direct questions.
2. Analyze Past Papers
Solve GPAT 2025 and earlier memory-based papers.
Note frequently asked topics: drug classifications, dosage forms, biopharmaceutics, reaction mechanisms, natural products, and jurisprudence.
3. Make Notes
Create short notes for formulas, reactions, and drug classifications.
Highlight important mechanisms, phytochemicals, and regulations.
4. Practice Mock Tests
Take full-length timed mock tests to improve speed and accuracy.
Analyze mistakes and revise weak areas.
5. Focus on Concepts, Not Just Rote Learning
Understand mechanisms, pathways, and calculations rather than memorizing.
For calculations in pharmaceutics or chemistry, practice multiple numerical questions.
6. Revise Regularly
Allocate weekly revisions for previously studied chapters.
Use flashcards for drug names, classes, and indications.
7. Time Management
You have 3 hours for 125 questions, so roughly 1.5 minutes per question.
Solve easier questions first and mark tougher ones for review.
8. Keep Short Breaks While Studying
Avoid burnout: 50–60 minutes study, 5–10 minutes break.
Maintain health, sleep, and a consistent schedule.
