The All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) PG selection process for admission to the LL.M. programme at National Law University Delhi is entirely merit-based and consists of several steps designed to ensure fair and transparent admission. The process begins with the AILET PG examination, which is conducted offline (pen-and-paper) and consists of 100 multiple-choice questions covering core law subjects, legal reasoning, and recent legal developments.
After the exam, the results and merit list are published on the official website, and candidates are shortlisted based on their AILET PG scores. Shortlisted candidates are then called for counselling and document verification, where they must present essential documents such as LL.B. degree certificates, mark sheets, category certificates (if applicable), and photo ID proofs.
Seats are allotted strictly according to the candidate’s rank in the merit list, category reservation, and availability of seats, including horizontal reservations for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and seats for Foreign Nationals or OCI/PIO candidates. Once a candidate’s documents are verified and admission fees are paid within the specified deadline, the admission is confirmed, and the candidate can enroll in the LL.M. programme.
The entire selection process emphasizes merit, accuracy, and adherence to reservation policies, making the AILET PG exam highly competitive.
