About Course 

Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) is a three-year undergraduate degree that offers knowledge and skills to aspirants to prepare them for a professional career in social welfare. The course is divided into six semesters in most of the universities and colleges.​​​​​​​

The course is ideal for people who wish to bring change in society by offering help to the marginalized and unprivileged. BSW helps aspirants to develop the required skillsets for solving various economic and social issues.

Eligibility  

The eligibility criteria to pursue a BSW (Bachelor of Social Work) degree are mentioned below - 

1. Applicants must be 10+2 qualified from a recognized Board in any stream 

2. Applicants must have at least secured an aggregate of 50% to 60% in their respective qualifying level exams 

3. SC/ST candidates can apply with an overall aggregate of 40% in their qualifying level exam

4. The applicants should not be a day younger than 17 years on the date of applying

Admission Process 

Institutes or colleges offering admission into the Bachelor of Social Work program prepare a merit list on the basis of the qualifying exam scores of the applicants. On the basis of the merit list or cut-off list, these institutions allocate seats to the applicants. Some institutes like Amity University does not even prepare a merit list for the purpose of admission into the BSW program. It offers direct admissions to the shortlisted candidates through the management quota seats it has.
