About Course

Astronomy is one of the branches of natural sciences, which deals with the study of celestial objects like planets, moons, stars, galaxies, and comets. Astronomy takes help of physics, chemistry, and mathematics to detail these celestial objects and their phenomena. Astronomy gives its aspirants an excellent opportunity to study deeply about everything that originates and exists beyond the Earth and atmosphere. M.Sc Astronomy course prepares the candidates to be efficient scientists, researchers, astronomers and astrophysicists, and so on. M.Sc Astronomy is a 2-year course which teaches the candidates the study of celestial objects. The admission process for M.Sc Astronomy differed from college to college. It can be either merit based on through entrance exam.

Why Choose Course And Required Skills

The Master of Science in Astronomy program at the ANU Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics focuses on transferable skills and personal development. Students have access to large-scale instruments and are immersed in cutting-edge research. Students also have the opportunity to use the world's largest telescope, the Mercator telescope.

Students pursuing a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Astronomy degree acquire important skills, including critical thinking and computer modeling. The degree will also teach students to be innovative, creative, and have high technological awareness. Among the skills that an astrophysicist should have is a knack for interpreting data.
