Eligibility
The students who are willing to pursue BMM courses must fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria for taking admission to different colleges and universities. The eligibility criteria, however, vary from college to college.
The students must satisfy certain basic criteria for taking admission to the BMM course as mentioned below:
1. The students must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations from a recognized board with specialization in any field such as Arts, Humanities, Science and Commerce specialization in any of the areas of Arts, Science, and Commerce.
2. The students must score at least 50 percent marks in 10+2 or equivalent examinations. The minimum percentage requirement also varies from college to college and some colleges take admission even if the minimum percentage is 35%. There are certain colleges that require as good as 60% marks and some colleges and universities even take entrance tests as part of the eligibility criteria.
3. The minimum age limit to enroll for the course is 17 years.

Admission Process
Merit-based Bachelor of Mass Media Admissions
1. Colleges will consider the past academic qualifications of the candidate, such as scores obtained in the Class 12 Board examination, stream pursued and the relevancy of the subjects to the BMM course.
2. Once the colleges have shortlisted the candidates based on past academic qualifications, a series of selection processes may be undertaken, which may include a Personal Interview and/or a Group Discussion.
3. Based on their past academic qualification along with their performance in the Personal Interview and the Group Discussion, candidates will provisionally be admitted to the course.
Entrance-Based Bachelor of Mass Media Admissions
1. On the stipulated date and time, candidates will be asked to appear for a BMM entrance test, conducted by the college or any competent authority.
2. Once you have cleared the examination, candidates will be asked to appear for another series of selection tests, which may include a Personal Interview and/or a Group Discussion.
3. Colleges will offer provisional admissions to those candidates who have cleared the Entrance test, the personal interview and/or the Group Discussion.
4. Selection to the course will be based on past academic qualifications, performance in the entrance exam, personal interview and the group discussion along with other parameters that are defined by the college itself.
