About Course 

Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery (ANM) is a 2-year diploma course that primarily deals with the health care sector. Aspirants need to clear their class 12 exams with at least 50% aggregate to become eligible for the programme. They should be of age less than 18 while applying for the ANM course. The Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery syllabus is curated in such a way that students get exposure to knowledge about fields of medicine and healthcare while learning how to provide medical assistance to families, individuals, and society for maintaining a good quality of life. It is a profession that is mainly involved in maternity care and offers assistance to new mothers during their pregnancy period and works. Entrance exams such as JIPMER, PGIMER, and more are gateways to accessing the ANM courses. Once aspirants crack any one of these entrance tests, they are able to secure admission easily.

The ANM programme is conducted offline. Aspirants have to attend lectures physically in classrooms. There are very few universities that offer online or distance education. Several renowned institutes and colleges such as IIMT, Meerut, Indira Gandhi School and College of Nursing, Bihar Institute of Nursing and Paramedical, Magadh ANM Training School, Avadh Institute of Medical Technology and Hospital Medical Institute - AIMTH, YBN University, Ranchi, and more offer admission to Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery course. The course fees range from INR 20,000 to INR 1,40,000. Admission Process 

Admission for the ANM program is on the basis of candidates' performance in the common entrance exams. Few colleges also provide direct admission based on the student's marks in class 12th.

Direct Admissions:

The Direct Admission process for the ANM course is followed by a majority of colleges in India. Candidates are selected on the basis of their marks scored in the Intermediate examination. After the board results are out, the colleges will release their cut-off scores. If candidates have scored more than or equal to the cut-off scores of the intended college, they will be eligible for enrollment at that institute.

The second way for the admission of the candidate to the ANM course is done on the basis of the entrance exam. In this pathway, candidates are selected on the basis of their marks scored in the entrance examinations of an institute.
