About Course
ITI Surveyor is a two-year job-oriented course that provides knowledge about different aspects of surveys. It is a technical certification course in the construction sector that deals with the survey of lands. The most important job of the surveyor is to determine the boundary of the land. The land can be used for any purpose of construction such as the construction of buildings, roads, bridges, flyovers, etc. Whenever any construction has to take place, the role of the surveyor is very important. A surveyor ensures whether a building or any other structure is in place or not. Surveyor as a profession has multiple responsibilities. A surveyor apart from determining land boundaries also has a need to create maps, design, and plan commercial products or structures like boats or buildings.
The role of the surveyor has been enhanced with the advancement of technology. A lot of technology is being used these days in surveying. The technology enables us to get the details of the land, soil quality, etc. that plays important role in deciding the structure of a given piece of land. A surveyor gives correct information about the land that ensures about a particular structure is intact for the given time frame. Land surveyors are the most important ones out of all other types of surveyors present. ITI surveyor is a vocational course that enables students to get both private and government jobs. ITI Surveyor comes under Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS) under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India.
