One of the major areas of fashion designing is garment technology. As the name implies, Garment Technology is a discipline in which students learn about the different technical aspects of the production of garments. The course of Garment Technology is designed for those who have a creative bent of mind and an inclination towards the fashion industry while also possessing the skills and keen eye for understanding the technical aspect of fashion designing. 1. The candidate must have cleared class 12th from a recognised board of education.

2. For admission to a master's level course, the student should have an undergraduate degree in design from a university or institute that is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

3. The aggregate marks scored by the candidate in the qualifying degree must not be less than 45 per cent to 50 per cent.

4. It is mandatory for the student to have received passing marks in all the subjects that he/ she has in the qualifying degree.

5. Students who are appearing in the final semester exams of their qualifying degree can also apply.
